arranged to go out to the fad today with my dad and his mate but when his mate pulled out with a damaged prop i decided to go ahead as planned! my gf's brother showed on time at 3:30 and we left for botany picking up my dad on the way! launched the boat and went straight to get yakkas then trolled a bit around the heads with no luck so we shot straight out to the fad! seen another boat into a fish and seen a few jumping!!! then second pass dad and i are both on his on prawn mine on yakka!his undersized at 60 mine good at 70. then no action for a bit and it started raining again so we went back to botany to try 4 kings but no luck and went home! we also trolled a little out near the fad but no luck!

thanks nexus! the plan is to float a few baits past the fad early! but with the poor reports im thinking that a bit of trolling will be in order!

going out sunday just like to know what lures to troll for dollies! 3 - 4inch christmas tree and x rap! or tuna lures like zukers and mcgoo 10inch mixed colour with lumo? also would th latter attract marlin! dont want to spend money this week because of other commitments!!!

yeah! it looses bottom drifting and underway! and im glad i cant find bottom at oxford st!

bought a new sounder erlier this year and it worked fine when i got it! ive been trying to fine tune it by moving the transducer up and down(being inexperienced and winter so nothing was showing up!). sounder shows good picture but constantly loosing bottom now which was not happening before! and always at the wrong time! ive moved the transducer back to original spot but still loosing bottom! is there a problem with my transducer?
