no its not self draining! might be a bit painfull with the boat constantly filling with water might be able to come up with a sealed lid! i told him to put in a barrel like i have but he really wants that as last option says it takes too much room! ive only seen his boat from the outside so not sure about all the facts but ill see it soon and try to suggest some kind of container again! but in the meantime im just trying to come up with all the info and cover all avenues! thanks for the info and advice!

thank you robbie! yes should be all good! i didnt want to have the pump running dry for too long but with the cut offs should work well!

my mate would like to install a live bait tank in his under floor storage and is wandering how to get around the fact that the tank is at water level and a gravity fed overflow like mine will be probably below the water line thus sinking the boat!!! which will defeat the purpose as hed probably like the bait to stay in the tank! can any one offer advice (photos possibly)?

thank you peoples was a great day! now i have a few more mates hooked on kingies! ive taught them how to read the sounder!when you see the mcdonalds arches that means fillet of fish! and yeah im glad their taking yakkas cause i havent got the squid figured yet! i just cant bring my self to really search for the squid when the kings are waiting for me!

mine has done the same since new its frontloader and the feet screw in and out to adjust the level check by placing level on tor of machine! this being said mine was installed by pro who leveled it and it still walks! ive never worried about it but i seen this post and the 1st thing that came to mind was to go to clarke rubber and get some thickish softish sort of rubber and place under each foot which might dampen the kicking force and keep it still! just something that rattled around inside my head! this foot adjustment could also be whats different since the move!!!

after yesterday i was keen for a sleep in! but a couple of my good mates somehow talked me into a fish!i haven seen these guys for a long time and now find that a couple of guys have boats! so they fished an allnighter and i met them at the ramp and i scored a deckie! so they ask where were going and i tell them the other side of moulinex to get bait follow me! when i pull up and cast anchor their scratching their heads! "what are you doing?" "wheres the shop" now im scratching my head! "oh your catching bait!" so i teach my new deckie how to pull in some yakkas! and they say there going outside! i say im staying right here! so straight to the downrigger! threw big schools of bait with big archs and my bait tapping them on the shoulder but today they would not take the bait! after a few laps scratching my head again! so in the wards of jewjaffer or something similar! they dont want to play netball, so ill teach them rugby!!! i sound out the big school and anchor up wind and let the wind drift us right on top of them and pop a yakka over the side! within 1 minute the rod folds over (24kg jig stick, torium and 30lb braid was awesome thanks fishfinder tony) i reef the rod out of the holder and pop he pulls a couple of clicks of drag! not after last time, i wack the drag up to lock and pop down goes the rod tip, i pull it up again wack down it goes again im dancing up n down the side of the boat with the rod bouncing up down up down! i get him to the boat and net him yehaaaaaaa!! new pb of 70cm!!! i turn to see my new deckie silent and looking a little like this ! and now he wants on! we sound around again but the fish seem to have moved on! so we go get lunch quick drift for flattie when i start to feel the burn! lets go check moulinex!!! so after a deckie swap! check the point nothing look around nothing, motor bit further down the wall! here we go!anchor up chuck out a yakka and again instantly the rod folds! so i strike tighten up the drag and say elton grab this rod! and he does and dances the same jig i had earlier! to chears from afar! he pulls in a 70cm king which he had no idea what was going on see he was asleep earlier and didnt know what a king was!!! we both end the day extatic!!! pics

thankyou peoples! hey roylo i hooked a salmon 2 weeks ago on a tiny hook chasing yakkas! bout a 10 minit fight and lost him at the boat! sounds like you had fun though! yes i know patty i havnt been doing much sport of late but yes ive been off work with a busted foot! think im taking up soccer, kickboxing and netball now! that oughtta cover my sickies!!!

off work due to a sporting injury! i was keen for a fish, so i rang james to see if he was working or not as i needed help! james was free so i picked him up in the morning and headed for botany! 1st stop yakkas and we had tonnes in the burley trail but they were a bit shy on the servo prawn although the bream wernt and i scored a 32cm model on no.12 hook! took some time but we got around 15 and headed to bare island to see if we could get some squid but no interest! back down to moulinex to downrig and within 2 minits zzzzzzzzzz im on kingy!!! you beauty was 55cm so quick pick and back in! 1st thought what a day this will be! shortly after we see the rod bounce then the line starts rising up the back james pulls the rod and bang hees on! salmon think it went 64(confirmation james)! done a few more laps hooked another and after a short fight he spat the hook! james decided he was going to have a jig! and jigged up a seargent baker! so not to be outdone i chucked in my plastic and hooked a sweep from the wrong end!!! we then cruised out side and seen a couple of massive whales jumping and clearing the water and slapping back down so we followed at distance allong side for a spectacular 20minut show!!! and just as we leave them to it we spot a seal and watch him for a bit! awesome!!! back in to moulinex for another shot got a huge hit but come up with nothing! oh yeah was greated with another great site at the ramp as seen in pic!!! pics

yay!!! hey i mentioned this adventure before dementure thing to my mother, think i was talking about her not spending the kids inheretance! she said she was just waiting for the dementure so then she could really go on an adventure!

new moon last weekend, would have been great. i was going to go down but i forgot all about it! i cant see it being the end of things as i went down last year and there were a few about not many though but im sure in time they will kick again!
