every focker is fishing up here at the moment LOL Anroo - my boy and i always fish the entrance and come out with nice fish in our YAK . try the sand flats in the channel for whiting on worms or nippers , and beter yet if you have a nipper pump bring it with you plenty of wholes in the shallows . had takin ( between my son and i ) 7 whiting and a nice blackfish from there on the monday just gone . got the black fish casting into the deep just under the bridge . for land based flatties , head north over the bridge and park on the next left straight after and get as close to the bridge as you can and hop the plastic back slowley .. and there will be plenty of prawns around for a while yet !! enjoy . but dont tell anyone

thanks for the replys , i guess the lighter line would be needed to get the distance aswell . yes there is a hell of a alot of snags around that area , im in a yak so i can get around ok .

hi all im keen to hit Ourimbah creek for som bream , bass etc . ive been told dont fish heaver then 5lb as they will not come near the lure . what are your thoughts . using the muddy prawn mid diver

hi thanks for the reply , you must realy no your lures just by looking at the pics haha. yea the hard body i have is the same but MID depth as i will be using it in ourimbah creek and there is alot of crap under the water lol . thats some nice fish you got there . suprised you got the blackfish on it , do you just work the weed beds etc ?

ok ive now almost caught half a dozen flattys ( at different times ) 16 taylor ( 8 one night an 8 the next week ) and a small bream ! and happy with that . my brand is the nuculer chicken GULP small size ( sorry cant remember the size as the lable on packet has come off ) i also have the pumpkin seed curl tail , crabby , worms , small wriggelers etc . but nothing will touch them ! my problem is because the taylor eaten all my lures up i went out to buy another pack of the chickens and the only had the 4'' , now thats slightley bigger then the ones im used to and cant even get a touch on them !!!! why ???now i understand big luers catch big fish and small luers catch both but i dunno .. im still learning with these things ! anytips for what plastics you get the flattys on ? one more question after reading robertas posts , i picked up a small blade TTlure and hope of some bream , havnt had a good go at it as yet but can you get other types on them ? bloke at the store said whiting will hit them and just about anything if you work it right ! what tech is invoved ? cheers Bretto i have attached pics so you can see the diff size in the plastics . i was so dissapointed on the bigger ones as i was getting hits on the smaller ones all the time . oh well thats fishing !!!!
