  10. G'Day all I am looking at upgrading my little camera. Nothing flash so I was looking at Fuji Finepix s3200. A friend has suggested I look at a Go Pro Naked instead. Does anyone have one of these? If so, what is the photo quality of the still photos? Any pros or cons? Any feedback would be appreciated please Cheers Hodgey
  11. Fisheries stated today that the fish have been discovered to have lesions on their gills, which is basically suffocating them. Apparently there is a direct link to water quality. Authorities are still very concerned that people are collecting them for consumption and strongly advise against it. More to follow ...
  12. A very big to all the Raiders celebrating today. Have a terrific day everyone! Cheers Hodgey
  13. I guess a self-professed non-fisherman would find any fishing experience extreme That said, some of the locations he visited were interesting, as were some of the methods (catfish by hand springs to mind). Maybe the title 'Mildly Interesting Fishing' was already used? That said, ANY fishing program is more worthy of viewing than most sitcoms or reality shows! Cheers Hodgey
  14. The dates are 28.07.11 to 01.08.11 Enjoy! Cheers Hodgey
  15. to all those Raiders celebrating today! Have a terrific day everyone Cheers Hodgey
  16. Still a few weeks left to chase Murray Cod in Burrinjuck and it's rivers ... I'm heading there again in three weeks Cheers Hodgey
  17. There is some big fish in those photos I wonder what long-term effects something like this will have on the Lake? Thanks for supplying the photos Charlie. Puts the article into perspective. Cheers Hodgey
  18. G'day all Residents and visitors of Burrill Lake are being warned that they should avoid fishing or collecting dead or dying fish in Burrill Lake following a large fish kill. NSW fisheries have yet to determine the cause of the fish kill although they are considering the possibility of an algae bloom. Water and fish samples have been taken from the lake for analysis. Captured fish in poor condition should be released, and shellfish should not be collected. A large range of fish species have been effected by this issue including bream, flathead, whiting, mullet and luderick. Cheers Hodgey
  19. back old fella! Looks like you had a terrific time away. Wholeheartedly agree about the Golden Snapper ... a superb table fish. Fantastic photos as always mate. I reckon the Golden Snapper and the Black Jewy may be worthy of record submission too! Cheers Hodgey
  20. to those Raiders celebrating today. Have a terrific day! Cheers Hodgey

  22. smarto and TorCz. We look forward to seeing reports from you both in the future Cheers Admin and Moderating Team
  23. Dave Member 'hookerbruce' did something (at Easter) very similar to what you're looking at. Maybe send him a PM? From memory, he was looking at roughly $1300 per person ( + airfairs) for a week? A great part of the world with some extraordinary fishing available. I'm sure you'll have an awesome time! Cheers Hodgey
  24. Keep checking here mate: Narooma News There are some nice snapper holding just off the beach, although the seals can be a nuisance. Wagonga is fishing slowly and the fish are scattered at the moment but try the back of the lake near the leases Cheers Hodgey
  25. Congrats on the new PB Joey Some every nice fish there mate. A shame your brother got crook, especially in cold conditions. Good report and a worthy contender for COTM Cheers Hodgey
