  1. The main message to come from this traguc death is not about wearing a life jacket. Yes very highly recommended when on the waterway regardless of what activity you participating in but the main message is do not go swimming when your drunk and then decide to jump off your house boat roof at 9pm!! Very silly mistake that someone could have tried to persuade him from doing. Very sad loss Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  2. You can not go past a zman grub. 2.5 inch with a 1/8 jig killers on flatty and occasional bu catch on tailor Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk

  11. Hey everyone. So yesterday i had planned to get a new tatto. Something to represent my son i lost in july this year. As i was travelling to woy woy thiught why not make a trip of it and test out the new combo. Got to my booking at 10 and they had double booked so i jusy said no stress ill go for a fish then come back later. My mate and i got to putty beach and rods in the water by 10. We had w 13' rods put soakint pillies whilst throwing plastics and metals on our new 9 foot tdt rods matched with 4000 daiwa airds. Got one solid run after about 20min on the beach gear. Fought this fish for 15min up and down the beach. Very smart fish as it got in the wash it devided to tangle itself in a bit of weed (cpuldnt turn it away) was a solid salmon my est was around 60 my mate thought 65-70. Everntually losts the hooks in the weed. Anyway thats what keep us going for more. Re rigged and then got another pillie out there. My mates rod goes off and 10min later brings in a 62 model sambo. Then as he is getting hooks out mine starts to scream and pull ALOT of line. After abiut 45 seconds and half a spool later i get this fish to slow down and turn its head. Me and my mate are getting pumped thinking nice FIRST jew (beach is renowned for them) or a decent salmon. Not long later this fish puts on a few aerial performances for us and were thinkong wicked its a stonker salmon. After about 15min i beach this fish only to notice its a 56cm model that was foul hooked. Hence the weight. Went back to get my tattoo at 3 and then home to pack up. Was a great day to be out and what a beautiful part of the world putty beach is. Cheers Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  12. Alsp should probably add one of the spots I have decided to stop off at is hervey bay pier so any info on that would be brilliant Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  13. Gday raiders. So my mate and i have just booked a weeks accomodation in cairns for next october. We are doing a road trip so its gunna be a crazy few days. We are allowing ourselves 3 days travel to arrive but stopping off each day at 2-3 different locations for an hour or 2 at each stop to throw all sorts of lures. What we are after is some good reccomendations to stop off on the way. Please not too far off the a1 freeway haha. A bit of info abiut the spot. Now also things to know and do abiut cairns We will be going on 2 estuary charters One outer reef charter and one in shore reef charter and then hiring a 6m polycraft self drive hire boat onr day. So any reccomendations would be bloody brilliant. Dont forget site rules. Companies via pm. Thanjs everyone. Appreciation in advance Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  14. Yeah mate it is a beautiful trip Its not allll 4 knots but there is a fair whack of it is. I done it on the ski in about 3 hours obviously following the limits. On way back a small stone got caught in my jet impella and so couldnt accelerate so had to idle the wholleee way back to little beach haha. A good 6 hour trip. Wasnt fun hey :/ Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  15. Can you also pm me this company. Cheers Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  16. Wow wow wow. Safety people. How does this continue to happen!!! It is such a sad way for someone to learn a lesson. I have lived at lake munmorah for 22 years (town where you enter national park for snapper point) and the amount of time we have seen the rescue chopper and police and ambos go flying into the national park iss uncountable. You cringe everytime. I am just glad safe to say almost everyone on here knows better but none the less how do we deter in experienced fishos. Love the idea of the multilingual sings. Anyway got any other great suggestions. Would be great for fishraider to possible start a petition to help reduce this horrible death toll. Fishraider making a difference. How great would that be. Finally rip and condolences to the man and his family and friends. An innocent life lost is a life lost too soon. Cheers Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  17. Its actually a fact that most flattoes over 65 dont breed anyway as they can not reproduce as successfully as a fish around 45-65 but what an awesome catch Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  18. Hahaha they just dont get it do they!! Yeah i seen some quality lays on the sand bars as well haha Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  19. Hey scratchie. Not sure if this is aimed at me but if so i meant no intention on criticising catch anf release cause if i caught a fish like that i personally probably would keep it haha was just saying incase he had intentions to realease the fish just providing a tip on keeping rhe fish healthy Cheers but Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  20. I can vouch for conjola!!! Went for a trip there last dec. It is a beautiful part of the world. Has amazing waterways and the water clarity is just crystal clear. Head up stream for a bit to "the step" and some great lizards. What a spot!!!! Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  21. Wow what an awesome catch. Very healthy fish. As bigrod said one great tip on hot days like that is to put water on the concrete so you dont burn cook or dry out such a beautiful fish. (Providing if its catch and release) Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  22. I have used that trick for years and its bloody brilliant!! A better one. Slightly more costly is get a clear lacker once cleaned up and prevents for about 4 or 5 years. Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks raiders hahaha. Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
