  1. Not quite sure what you mean by clogging up? My lures come out mostly shiny and polish looking. It's only when I touch them that they seem to get "finger prints" all over them. Do you think I should still sand with such a low grit? ps. Sorry for all my questions. Really quite a noob here
  2. Nice.. Yeh I've been letting mine sit in the sun. Going to sand them a bit with 1500 and 2000 grit sand paper before polishing
  3. Thanks for the tips guys.. Ill try dip in acetone tommorow and polish. im currently using an orbital polisher to polish mine. What are you guys using?
  4. Yeh really odd. Like if I hold them tight, I'd leave some finger prints on them. ill try steves recommendation of more hardener and a few days of sun. im casting them in pinkysil
  5. How are u polishing urs? I'm using diggers casting resin but noticed mine are still "smudging" after 2-3 days

  7. I found that I could just shape fishing sinkers with a vice.. Seems to work for me
  8. Thanks rjts. I'm thinking of adding a few small fishing sinkers or nails to the lower half of the insert. That should act as a keel
  9. Another question, how r u guys making the inserts? Is it from lead ? Or did u cast it from resin?

  12. Yeh that's where I got the idea. I've recently bought about $600 worth of lures from the states. Planning to test them all out this season and replicate winners. Did you dremel down the brass steve ? I saw this youtube video on the finishing process.

  20. Use an old boat roller. U wedge it where the hydraulic axle that adjusts ur trim is. Yamaha sell something very similar for a ridiculous price
