Not quite sure what you mean by clogging up? My lures come out mostly shiny and polish looking. It's only when I touch them that they seem to get "finger prints" all over them. Do you think I should still sand with such a low grit?
ps. Sorry for all my questions. Really quite a noob here
Yeh really odd. Like if I hold them tight, I'd leave some finger prints on them.
ill try steves recommendation of more hardener and a few days of sun.
im casting them in pinkysil
Yeh that's where I got the idea. I've recently bought about $600 worth of lures from the states.
Planning to test them all out this season and replicate winners.
Did you dremel down the brass steve ? I saw this youtube video on the finishing process.
Thanks for the response guys! A great help!
Will post up some pics once I get mine made.
Planning to use bonito, pillie and dollie skin for the inserts
Nice post guys. I'm very interested in this thread.
Just wondering if u had to spray anything on the original lures to stop them sticking to the pinkysil?
Hi guys,
Seems it's been a bit quiet on this front lately.
I'm thinking of heading out this sat. Do u guys think it'd be worth a trip out wide and if so, what should I target?
Cheers
