they work but jigs such as bottom ships are way better imo just jig them slowly with lots of long jigs and falls

i actually had a conversation with one of the rangers and he didn't seem to mind us fishing. he was actually asking me about how to fish there like he wanted to have a go

yeh i kept moving following you its my first time there its seems to be that the fish move around a couple of pinnacles. super fun fishing especially when the fish are all over 70cm and on jigs

yeh I saw you out there mate they came on after the tide change i was just starting to get them on jigs again but then left to beat the storm

get one of them Berkeley nets the one with the red handle the amount of fish I've had go through that hole haha

G'day raiders Today I headed out in search of kingies I knew I had to head wide I find clean water so I did Got to Drummoyne at 6:30am and launched into the chocolate water it was filthy with rubbish everywhere I headed straight out the heads to a inshore reef which has been producing lately the water was still very brown and there were no kingies to be found I headed wider to a offshore reef and when I arrived there was over 50 boats some catching fish I marker good and dropped my 200g jig straight down jig jig jig bam I'm on after a long fight on heavy gear I had my pb in the boat 81cm! I kept fishing and landed a 45cm Samson fish and more kingies around 75cm I ended up landing 5 kingfish kept 3 let one 75cm go and a rat and kept the Samson fish I got busted off on my light jig rod once and dropped a few on my heavy gear. It was a great session and it was great to finally beat my pb Cheers sydneyfisher12

Water 1km offshore is dirty

it was still there on Saturday dose anyone have any details on what happened or if the people on board are alright

Was out on the harbour today and spotted this boat which looks like it's been slammed up against the rocks on the tip of south head. It looks like a 5.5m quinterx freedom sport with a inboard motor. There was pieces of it spread all over the rocks I haven't heard anything about it anyone heard anything

G'day raiders Me and Jordan fished the last two days targeting bass and carp First day we got up late but still had a few casts for bass but nothing so we headed for carp. I lost one in skinny water and it spooked the rest so we moved and we must of found a school the bite was consistent for half and hour we'd put the bait in and 10 seconds later we'd be on they were only small around 40cm but still fun the bite eventually went off and we moved We moved around abit finding a few more fish and the we moved to another lake and burlyed on the surface and the fish stated hitting the bread Jordan put out a peice and a fish came up and took the bait it didn't look that big at the start and then it almost spooled Jordan he had to cup the spool to stop it he eventually got it in and after a 40min fight we had the fish it went 90cm After that we caught a few nice fish around the 65cm range and then went home The next day we got up really early to target bass we were at the spot before first light and had our surface lures in the water we got two nice hits in one spot the hooks didn't stick so we moved to another spot and I had another good hit which didn't stick again so we moved to a different part and after 10 casts I had a awesome hit and hooked up and landed my PB bass going 38cm We kept trying for more and other than another hit and a few follows that was it We went and tried for carp and I got one on a tiny nymph fly and then we tried some other spots for nothing We had a mate who knows a spot where we could catch carp on lures so we headed off we had to walk a lot through the bush and eventually we made it to this lake Jordan hooked two and landed them on a zman grubz so I changed to a squidgey wriggler and pulled two. The carp would sit around the edges of the lake in the weed so we would look for them drop our lures on their heads let it hit the bottom leave it and they would suck it up and strike it. It was a lot of fun but we had to leave. We fished the rest of the afternoon for carp and bass and got nothing much other than so eels Cheers sydneyfisher12

its worse in the harbour when the kings are on the markers. i always look for the most empty marker in the harbour and go to it i start down rigging and usually start catching fish. then boats start coming from every where and start dropping anchors in my path right next to the marker spooking the fish. end result nobody catches anything and i repeat by moving to another empty marker and they all eventually follow

gday raiders quick report on the harbour went out with a mate on friday collected live squid only managed a couple went to the marker that has been producing kings lately and down rigged got a couple of kings on down rigged squid and soft plastics few legals about my mate got a good one around 70cm on a plastic which gave a good fight and we got a couple of other just legals around 66cm kings have also been up the river i got one up and some of my mates have been catching them as by catch for jews. cheers sydneyfisher12
