  1. gday raiders me jordan and gianni hit the harbour again this saturday hoping for another good day. friday night we caught a few squid out of my backyard up the parra they were all arrows all caught on 2.5 syamashita squid jigs the next day we got up and headed to the harbour on the water at 6am and quickly found a bust up they were going down quick other than a few usual frigates there was nothing much happening i then dropped my 3inch minnow in smelt under the boat twitch twitch and zzzzzzzzzzzz the fish was really big it dumped almost my whole spool on my little 1000 sustain it took about 120m of line before my 4lb leader broke. we moved around and caught a few more frigates and chucked some poppers around which were getting followed by kings but not taken. jordan hooked another good fish not a king because it had those tuna tail beats so probably a big frigate or a nice bonito. we found another bust up right next to the opera house there were plenty of frigates and a few kings we pulled a couple of nice frigates and another boat landed a king which to me looked well undersized he told me it was 67cm which i didn't believe anyway as we were driving away from the bust up i left my lure out the back and hooked up the line was wrapped around my tip and the fish snapped the tip off my gen black it was most probably a kingy from the power it had. we found a few more bust ups of just frigates and one of jordans mates on another boat told us he landed a 80cm king out of a bust up. we moved on and found another bust up and the same boat which i suspected had a undersized king on board we landed plenty more frigates and jordan landed a good one of 50cm the other boat landed another king which i didn't see go back. after a lot of searching we found another bust up in the middle of the main harbour as we arrived it went down but the fish were still around just deep there was 10 boats drifting down the middle of the harbour people all around us were caching kingys jordan finally hooked up on the drop with his plastic but it quickly came to the surface and jumped it was a big salmon minutes later gianni also hooked up on the drop of his plastic his fish stayed deep we landed jordans salmon and minutes later giannis fish bust off his 6lb leader. we landed plenty of tailor all about 40cm and some cowwanyang eventually gianni hooked up to another good fish and at last a king was beside our boat and then out of no where 5 kings started swimming around i quickly dropped a unweighted squid strip down nothing i though they had spooked just about to put the rod in the holder and zzzzzzzzzzzz I'm on to i landed a nice king on 60cm and giannis was the same size after that we couldn't find anymore bust ups so headed to my reliable bream spot and gianni got a nice 35cm and jordan got a nice 32cm we we got home we heard news that jordans younger brother and dad had landed 5 kingys land based in the hacking on SP's we headed to the same spot the next morning for nothing but nothing but a follow from a king on a popper cheers sydneyfisher12
  2. great work ben couple of nice fish there just gotta get that jewie now cheers sydneyfisher12
  3. Power bait crabby, gulp shrimp, Eco gear bream prawns and maraku crabs
  4. As said mac tuna have dots on their belly and frigates don't we've been getting both in the same bust ups but the mac tuna are smaller than the frigates but don't go as hard as mac tuna. Mac Tuna also have larger mouths and sharper and bigger teeth than frigates Here's the different between mac tuna and frigates Frigate mackerel : Mac tuna :
  5. Awesome day out on the water the harbour is full of fish Cheers sydneyfisher12
  6. G'day raiders Headed out with my mate Jordan (Sydney_fisho) for a bass session We arrived at the first part of the creek and I put a perfect cast into some super skinny water and bam I hooked up to a nice 30cm bass on a TT jigspin with a zman grubz After that we moved on to anther stretch after a few casts I hooked up again and landed a nice fish After that we moved again I lost my lure on a tree so I asked Jordan if he had ant surface he gave me a cicada lure and I started flicking the I casted out waited 10 seconds twitch 5 second twitch 5 second and then roll it back I was half way thru rolling it back and BAM I hooked up to another nice bass We moved back to the spot I caught the others and I pulled another two fish We decided to try for some carp Jordan hooked a really good one which busted him off in a snag and that was it so we moved back for some bass we went to the same spot I caught mine on surface and first cast Jordan got a massive hit but missed the hooks he left it there for 15seconds and twich and then bam he was on to a good bass this time brought it to the bank or log we were standing on I got the lip grips in and it shook them off and then the lure got stuck in some reeds and shook it's head and it was gone Anyway after that it was quite we met up with another mate who had caught two 30 models in the creek After that I headed home after a good day Cheers sydneyfisher12
  7. G'day raiders Today me Gianni (thefisherman6784) and Jordan (sydney_fisho) headed out on the harbour to chase what ever we could catch we headed out and spotted a bust up right behind the opera house . What happend after was about 2 hours of the most fun you could even have we caught frigates big and small a few mac tuna and some good sized tailor a nice salmon we also caught massive yakkas and slimies we would of caught it least 40 frigate mackerels they were very where. A couple if times the bait would a take cover around our boat and fish would come through and smash it we saw some good sized kingies around but they couldn't get to our lures before the other fish. All fish were caught on a range of small SP's and super light gear. I took some pics of the bust ups and some fish After all of that was over we moved on we tried a few markers around the naval base for one nice flatty that hit a 5inch jerk shad that I had mid water ripping back it was 45cm After that we moved further down the harbour and found another bust up of frigates we landed about another 10 before moving on We went over to Clifton gardens and once again found another bust up this time bonito and frigates we caught a few frigates before Gianni hooked and landed a good bonito of 50cm there were a lot of boats fishing the bust up so we moved on to find some more peaceful water. We decided to try and catch some squid we headed over to the inside of south head and Jordan quickly pulled one we tried abit longer but had no more luck so we moved again. While heading up the harbour to locate more bust ups we spotted a few boats pulling kingies in I deployed the live squid on my heavy gear and told Jordan to take the rod if it hooked up it Didn't take long and the rod was buckled over Gianni picked up the rod and handed it to Jordan it was a big fish it ran straight into the marker and Jordan locked the drag it was very big taking a full locked drag with no issue unluckily he pulled the hooks. Not long after Jordan hooked up again this time on a plastic we drove away from the maker and eventually landed the kingfish Jordan's second ever kingfish and first on a lure unluckily it was 64cm AGAIN but was a really fat and thick fish as you can see in the pics We tied for a while more with no luck. The kingfish was caught at 12:30am which really surprised me that they were on the bite that late in the day might be something to do with the rain or overcast weather anyway we moved on. We spotted another bust up near goat island me and Jordan quickly got a double hook up on frigates before they went down We moved into a bream spot I've been doing well at lately as Jordan wanted to catch some bream we pulled a couple of nice 30-32cm fish and got busted off by some bigger models After that on the way home we finished at the last bust up if the day which once again was frigates What a awesome day out one of the best in a while the harbour if packed full of fish and bait lately I've been smashing the fish in the harbour Cheers sydneyfisher12
  8. gday raiders sorry for the late report but me and gianni headed out on the harbour the plan was to head out to the fad we headed to lavender bay for yakkas but couldn't get any so we headed out we spotted some bust ups of clifton gardens the were firstly kings but they wouldn't eat anything we soon found a school of frigate mackerel we caught plenty and they were really fun on super light gear 4lb they take massive runs and are super fun to catch. by the time we finished having fun it was too late to head out to the fad so we made the descion to stay inside the harbour. we headed to one of my favourite markers nothing i foul hooked a big leather jacket other than that nothing we headed back over to the spot where the bust up was and we found a massive bust up we chased this around for about 2 hours and must of caught 30+ frigates and a few mac tuna all on light gear. they eventually went down and we moved on we headed to another marker and i anchored up to fish some bait while i was anchoring up gianni decided to chuck his small plastic with alb on his super light combo right next to the marker he hooked up but wasn't on for too long we tried bait and then moved on he hooked another kingy on another marker on a unweighted pilly cube but dropped it we headed up river and found another bust up it was salmon and tailor this time i got a good tailor of 45cm and gianni hooked a good salmon but dropped it as it jumped he hooked another one and landed it after that they went down and we moved again we found another bust up right near the harbour bridge this time it was tailor and kings i hooked up and after a long fight landed a nice king of 61cm not long after gianni hooked up on a king and after another long fight landed a 60cm king it was a awesome day out and plenty of good fish landed all fish caught on 3inch powerbait minnows cheers sydneyfisher12
  9. I'll be offshore tomorrow hope the weathers not too bad
  10. just got a 1000 and have caught about 20kings and plenty of other species its been pushed pretty hard and is still great
  11. you don't usually let the lure sink its usually a constant wind with a few flicks or jerks. they hit out of no where and its a really aggressive take. mine came back on 5 casts before i hooked him right at my feet they sit deep in snags wait for food to come pass and smash it they don't follow it like bream
  12. great work adam you've been getting some nice fish lately there are some really big fatties around lavender bay keep persisting and you'll eventually get a big one cheers sydneyfisher12
  13. gday raiders a couple of weeks ago me and my mate jordan (sydney_fisho) were fishing for bass around his area we were having a tough day so we went looking for new water we hit the jackpot finding a new long creek we fished it for the rest of the day but got nothing we believed that was because of the low barrometer on that day 1009. on saturday gianni and jordan went to the new spot and he pulled a nice bass of 32cm on a zman slim swimz i went with jordan yesterday and at the exact same spot i got a nice bass of 31cm on a tt jig spin with a 2inch motor oil grubz we still have a lot of this creek to explore and we hope we will catch more fish in it cheers sydneyfisher12
  14. i love fishing it's my everything wish I could make a living out of it
  15. G'day raiders Had a plan today to hit the harbour for kings but with a alright weather report we decided to head offshore we headed straight to long reef. There's was about 20 boats on the reef but nobody was catching anything after about 3 hours of nothing we moved. I had a troll around blue fish point and hooked something good but dropped it We then headed into the harbour where there were massive schools of salmon busting up it tried but had no luck one guy was catching them on tiny live yakkas. I moved to my favourite marker and pulled two nice kingfish on 3inch powerbait minnow in smelt they were 64 and 63cm I tried a few other markers and then headed home Cheers sydneyfisher12
