  1. Hey mate , depending on the size of your boat 1m swells might not be so bad. If your boats covered or half cabin you might try just outside the heads however you won't find much shelter our that way. Also if you plan on drifting you'll find it hard to get your baits where you want them . Otherwise try kernel or wooloware bay if you want shelter Cheers
  2. How'd you go Pete ? Any luck around 12 mile or the FAD
  3. Mate please have mercy your first report cost me days of sleep now you say 60 kings in one trip I don't think I'm going to sleep in a month !!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Mate well done that's a King worthy of the name. Sometimes all it takes is one good fish to make the day ! I know id happily fight one 80cm king rather than say 10 good size bream. I've been wanting to try longy for a while and was wondering if anyone could PM me some GPS marks for the reef ? Any generosity would be much appreciated. Cheers Sam
  5. It's always good to see that persistence is rewarded mate well done. Fresh calamari can't go wrong. Cheers
  6. Let's hope the weather holds out for the long weekend it's not looking the best at the moment !!

  10. Thanks mate , tried to head out today and decided to take the old man with me to have a go at his first Dollie, had to turn back Afta he got seasick from the chop. Hopefully they're still out there next weekend
  11. Good work mate that's fishing I guess somedays it's hot and some days it's not. Iv lived near chipping norton since a child I didn't know it could produce salmon? What other species come out of the lake ? Are they any good for eating as I've heard the water down that way isn't the best
  12. Hey Peter Hey Peter Big fan of them blazers. The temp on Saturday was 22.8 and Sunday 23.2 Most were around the 65-70cm mark but the biggest was landed at 81cm my PB on dollies.
  13. Thanks mate, I was equally as surprised to find them still there so late into May. Let's hope they stick around for one final weekend!
  14. Sydney FAD on Saturday 22.8 and Botany Wide on Sunday was 23.2 early dropped to 22.9 around 10am
  15. Hi Raiders This is my first post in this forum, I've been following for quite some time but have only recently joined, looking forward to joining the family here. My last weekend was a dream come true, the wife was occupied elsewhere both days so I took this rare opportunity to wet a line both days. I had heard reports that the FADs were still producing , Saturday went to Sydney East for 5 Dollies on live yakkas and surface poppers. Action stopped after a pod of dolphins swam by for a feed of their own. Sunday Botany wide FAD produced well on Sunday on lures, strangely they weren't very interested in the livies but I suspect that's because the yakkas might have been a little big. (Anyone know where to find those small yakkas in botany ? I normally stop near the tugboats. ) so 4 dollies later kept one let the other 3 go and stopped for two bonito on the way back in just outside the bay. Gotta make the most of the warm waters before they disappear I guess. Sam
