  1. Very, Very, nice Quochuy. Love a good Sunset/Sunrise photo. Thanks mate.
  2. No problems Kenneth, happy to help. PS Hope I'm right.
  3. MMMMMM, looks like a Diamond Wrasse. Anampses Caeruleopunctatus.
  4. Few different Trumpeters floating around. This one is a Eastern Striped Grunter/ Trumpeter. Pelates sexlineatus. The Bastard Trumpeter is rarely hooked and the Striped/Tasmanian usually further south. Hopes this helps.
  5. Never eaten one but from all reports, nope better fish in the sea.
  6. I recon, Herring Cale Odax Cyanomelas.
  7. Different critters you catch up there. The 2 common ones are Large and Small mouth Nannygais up the reef. The ones in Sydney are Centroberyx Affinis , further south you get the Swallow Tail variety Cetrodryx lineatus. Both good on the tooth if you can get them size.
  8. On-Ya Paikea, things you come across fishing. The first one I always called them a Pied Stilt. See them up Iron Cove and the Parra.

    Longtom?

If I had to have a guess I'd call it a Stout Longtom Tylosurus Gavialoides.
  10. Certainly a start, but I wonder if the commercial fishers have their catch reduced to 40% of their original quota like the rec fishers.
  11. Eastern Kelpfish. Chironemus marmoratus
  12. Yamaha ....without a doubt first choice. Though the Honda's pretty good.
  13. There is a resident population on the Northern Beaches.
  14. Don't know any who's tried in my circle of friends. Not protected but I recon it would be hard to scrape a feed of them as i've never seen any of worthwhile size. I recon you did the right thing and returned them to the water, good onya.
  15. Girdled Scalyfin (Parma) Parma unifasciata
  16. Maori Cod also for me Epinephelus undulatostriatus Funny but a few caught in Sydney this year. I know of a big one caught at the Banks earlier this year ????
  17. I would also guess Barracouta for the first and a Blue Mowie for the second Nemadactylus douglasii also called a Grey Morwong.
  18. Howdya go, hope the battery didn't let you down.
  19. Anal and Tail say Brassy (no spots on fish) With the throat cut Big Eye Colouring and sizing GT. GT for me to.
  20. Herring Cale I would guess. Odax Cyanomelas Happy day.
