  1. Top report, and well done on the PB.
  2. So... What were you doing there Ceph?
  3. Got to love a quiet night on the water. Wind wise, not fish wise.
  4. Top catch mate. How did the boat go on fuel chassing that monster around.
  5. Lads, That is an awsome report. However!! If you had have left the cars at home, you could have burlied all the way back up the coast, and bought the fish back to sydney. A bit of consideration for the rest of us next time, hey!! Seriously though. That looked like one great weekend for the boys. Well done. Arch
  6. Sorry if I missed this in the thread, but who hooked your finger. Or was it one of those ridiculous moves i have pulled on myself from time to time? Arch
  7. Just a lot of small stuff. the missus got one nice trev, then a whole lot of small sweep moved in. got a few small snapper, small flounder and a stinky eel. Which was actually the most enjoyable as when it tied itself up around the line, my missus was screaming that loud I almost fell in from laughing. When the water clears, should pick up again. I'm out for a couple of weeks with weddings and work. good luck if you head out again
  8. well done lads, Ross. it doesn't get better than those conditions. arch
  9. Glad to hear you got into a few, I was trapped by the missus to let her take as few photo's of the cliffs at dover heights. Then she stumped me by landing a really nice trev. Other than that, it was a very slow day in the dirty water. those snapper had moved on. That was me who was chatting to you at Darling point. Regards Arch
  10. Choco, Thanks for a good day out, with plenty of cheeky banter. I do beleive my netting of a free swimming arrow, would have to have been the catch of the day. I mean anyone can hook a 40cm snapper in the harbour. But squid with an environet, that is like dragging a bucket through the water. Now that is a catch!! Ceph, Sorry I didn't recognise the boat. I saw netic at the boat ramp in rose bay, but Didn't get a chance to say gday. I have a white hulled Stacer 525" with a 90 merc optimax on the back. just in case we are chassing the same fish in future, or watching your mates go fishing for your gear. Classic stuff. Regards Arch
  11. Nice effort there boss. Keep it up. Arch
  12. Yeah fishlexic, I'd love to see the vis and photo's. I am interested to see if that seal is into the fairy penguins. Not being gory, but that would account for it looking like a small seal. Arch
  13. Cheers mate. thats what i was thinking. I was imagining it being a little hairy fiddling around in rock cracks while waves are comming in. Better luck next time on the blue's and thanks for the heads up. Arch
  14. Now Roberta, why am I so surprised that you were the first to respond to this post!!! The blackfish diaries... Anyway, great effort there Zen. And reading all these stories of the mighty blackie is getting me all on edge. If I find the bastard that invented working. He will be added to my next burly trail. Arch
  15. Top fish RH. Do you collect these crabs, or get them from a bait store or something? well done to you and your mate. Arch
  16. Great effort there Raf. awsome little session. Arch
  17. Hey choco, You really are coming up with some funny calls. That is a biiiiiiiiiig fish.
  18. Great little sesh croyden. lovely red, well done. arch
  19. Ceph, I have fished thay spot for squid from my boat. Ussually right up against thr rocks, and have had plenty of success 'dragging the kelp' But my arsie brother always lands monsters by flicking heavier blue and green Jigs into the deeper water a bit further out. I am not sure if you could cast that far from the rocks. But just in front of the old gun emplacements is where we hit them. (you could send max out for a swim and see if any are down there) great story by the way mate. Arch
  20. Great stuff lads, 20 or 80, who cares. They are awsome fish. S.
  21. With the amount of squid fanatics we have on the site, especially in the kingy season. I am sure the temptation of landing 8 metre squid, would prove too much If tempted with a social in the apple isle. Maybe we could all chuck in and by egimax pty ltd. and just spray it all over sydney, and try and lure these monsters up the coast..
  22. What were you thinking when you chose the red crocs? Could't help myself. great catch there. Arch
