  1. Thanks guys.. Father in law was in crook haven and said so many road we closed near the water, Hopefully the park your going to isn't on the shores of st Georges basin. Fingers crossed the park your at has good run off and soaks up.
  2. Thanks for the reply November I'll be staying crook haven tourist park October I'll be staying huskisson side I'll try the lake when I'm on crook haven side. My old man said when he was young guys used to anchor up opposite the crook haven wharf/boat ramp. I'm sure there is no Prawning in JB its self. But I'll give woolumboola lake and the greenwell point / crook haven mouth a go then Stgeorge basin ago when I'm on that side. I'm knowledgable about times and moons and run out tides ect just more after locations that ppl have herd of were ppl are getting prawns.. Bit of fun
  3. Hi there I'll be doing a few trips staying at crook haven n JB, Looking for advice on Prawning spots, I have the gear, for walking or by boat. I have been told of prawns running out of crook haven mouth so was thinking of anchoring in the Chanel. I'll be there from November onwards Any tips would be awesome
  4. wollumboula lake - anyone fished it? looking at doing some kayaking in there - is the fishing ok - i have herd prawning was ok at one stage? whats the prawning like round crookhaven entrance and greenwell point? have had herd of boats sitting in the entrance chanel catching prawns on run out tide fromt here boat?\ any tips would be perfect as ill be fishing the area in november

  8. hi everyone, im really looking to aim for kingfish this summer - i have the boat the sounder and all the gear - i am looking for locations (general area) or advice on how to find them. montague and Jervis Bay are locations ill be going to on holidays ect over summer - but with my shift work its about 2 - 2.5 hours to get to the bay then and launch - so its perfect for a day trip - on the road, by 4:30 launch about 7ish gives me a good day fishing and home at a reasonable time - i seen boats last year with kings from close off the heads - would love to search and target them closer in rather the then FAD. - from the reading and research i have been doing -is it best to search for reef and hard ground and sound/ burley from there/ look for bait balls? any help and direction thanks

I no what your saying but I won't camping where I need a fire through fire ban season, we like sitting round the fire at night when it's cooler, not in summer, We do one trip in begging November with the In laws, (they require a fire) don't get me wrong I love it also, but not needed in summer for me and my family

  14. hi everyone one - we are looking for camping places which allow fires - or heat beeds for cooking sites have to have showers/ toilet and power sites - looking for places on the coast - between shellharbour and ulladulla. closer to jervis bay the better - i have found one at jervis bay call real camping JB - there is also one at kangaroo valley (been there nice place aint towing my boat there ever was bad enough with camper trailer) looking for other options. closer to the water the better - i dont mind a short drive to launch the boat pm websites or any details we cant post on here, thanks everyone

  19. hi everyone - after being to the boat show this weekendand seeing the down imaging, and how i may have been reading the unit wrong,( well there was a shot what i would have thought bait ball and fish surrounding it but the down image shows a tree and no fish) i would like to upgrade to a unit with the down imaging. i would like to know what people are using? i currently have a humming bird, all the brands seem to be so similar with features ect, basically i want the down imaging, gps, and basic chart plotting like my own gps marks ect. i fish from lakes for flathead through to inshore reefs to the FADs - my Limit is $1000 what are people using with those features which they would recommend? if we can not mention brand names please pm brand and model and opinion pls. thanks in advance Reese

  21. yeah the local charter have all said the bight is in the arvo change of tide, pls let me know how the longfinnd perch tastes - seems to be a few of them around..
  22. yeah mate - i normally get them at servos - i think its the tweed bait brand - so if they sell that they should have them..
  23. if you cant be bothered doing that then buy the "salted Pilchards" i have had a packof the for the last 3 trips - left overs go backin the freezer -
