  1. i like the hose add on for at home.
  2. Now that sounds like a good trip, what depths were you getting the flathead? Been lot of mixed reports of varying depths different days.
  3. Rod is, Shimano Bluewater signature Jin spin 200g Pe 3-5. Also says rated to 24kg Ticket said exclusive to Bcf.. $149 matching it with the stradic fj 6000
  4. I agree ^ But can't be bothered using it now, if it was good bait I'm sure people would use it
  5. Rod from bcf I can't for the life of me find details, I'll be going past tomorrow I'll duck in and find out as I know where it is, two guys at the local bcf have the same set up, they had few other sets up in there boat as well, might need a job there lol
  6. Im doing the same thing, I personally am going to the stradic, 6000 using for jigging and baits, 6000 maybe over the top, but I'm happy to spend 50 extra for the slightly better reel. I tested the pen and Shimano on the rod and Shimano felt amazing.. I'm not a pro and haven't been doing boat fishing long, so this is just an opinion.
  7. Hi everyone, Have seen recently baby Octopus for really cheap, has anyone used this as bait, weather they cut it up or something to suit there target.. If so how have you used it and what have you caught? Thanks reese

    replacing trailer

i dont mind the over kill for better tow, my only concern is, is the trailer able to be set up so i can use it for my boat and that it sits on the trailer safely, which sounds like it will, but waiting on a final oppinion from my local marine shop as they will assist setting it up

    replacing trailer

thank you - the bearings and maintaining it is not a problem and worth it for a better safe tow as i have a min of 2 hour drive to the coast for me - the traile i am looking at purchasing has receipt showing bearings ect been replace 4 weeks ago ect so thats good - basicaly i just have to adjust rollers and winch post to set up the boat in the right position -

    replacing trailer

its funny you say that because i have mine on a single axell and its not the best tow, heavey old boat - i have towed a slightly bigger boat like mine on dual axel and was levely, for me i do alot of km to get to the water so a smoother tow is what im after. hopefully my 15ft will be ok on a 17ft - 19th trailer, from what i have noticed should only need to adjust rollers and winch post - if so then happy days for me
  15. hi there my old trailer is worse for wear and not worth sand blasting and trying to fix - i have a 15ft half cab fiber glass boat, i have found a similar trailer to mine but its duel axel and says suits 17- 19th boat, what possible issue would there be in using this size trailer on a smaller trailer? the rollers and sorts are a similar set up and adjustable. what should i be looking at to know if this trailer will work for me? any help would be great thanks
  16. That's f:::kednhope your ok, no need for that
  17. hi guys n gals ill be down in crookhaven heads from monday to thursday next week, and weather this week is a westerly all week and a solid westerly - and dose not look to be easing any time soon - the other conditions are bit different and know how the area will be effected, by southerly and NE ect i have been advised to launch from currarong and go along the cliffs - havnt fished this area and not sure how its effected and what its like in a westerly - just looking for some assistance and exerience/ advice, our plans were target squid and livies, then would like to target squid snapper and flathead, would love a by catch of kings but proble gone, so apart from those table fish we will be happy to catch anything for fun. not asking for markers just general direct to assist with possible conditions, i have a sounder ect and will do the work my self. any other areas to fish with the westerly towing the boat from canberra so trying to make sure its worth the trip first "BIG ASK" any land base squid spots? thanks in advance Reese
  18. Cut clean, and bake or BBQ, one of the first fresh fish I ever had and main fish I caught so I liked it, I still haven't tried the "better" fish like kings and dolphin fish ect, but me and my family enjoy it
