  13. hi all, im heading over to Mauritius for 2weeks with my 3yr old daughter in october for a wedding/family visit. i am going to buy a four piece spin rod to fit in my bag tomorrow and packing my 2500 diawa exceler reel to come across with me in the hope that i can fit some flicking in. My question/need of advice/suggestions is what lures/plastics should i think of bringing. i fish alot with smaller lures like tt's, eco sx40/48's, smiths etc etc. also have used plastics a fair while. i was thinking perhaps some packs of gulps?? for those of you that dont know, Mauritius is a small tropical island off the south coast of Africa surrounded by a coral reef. any help would be appreciated and i will definantely take pics while over there and post how it goes cheers all damien

  20. good to hear they might last. i was thinking that ultrabite liquid or aniseed even. i got sick of my car smelling like gulps too which also helps when taking out the ladies.......(which doesnt happen often cause im usually too busy fishing) cheers Slinky
  21. i opened a sealed bucket today that was full of opened and leaking gulps. some were starting to go mouldy and others were white and full of white mould but still rather soft. there was about 30+ packets from when i used to use them alot before switching to hardbodys. i salvaged most throwing the bad ones out. i placed all the good ones in one of those small sealed buckets from bunnings i had lying around in the garage. i also had two tubs of gulp alives which i poured into the bucket with the juice. this just covered the gulps so i went out and bought two more tubs of gulp alives (any excuse to go to the tackle shop, thanks Wacko) and added them in there also, which now covers the gulps. im wondering if anyone has done anything like this before? will it affect the performance? what about mixing all the styles and coulours together? only problem now is that i gotta basically be in one spot or on a boat seeing i have a little bucket. guess ill have to buy more to keep in the bum bag whilst wading and walking round. cheers guys looking forward to hearing of other experiences like this or answer/help. damien
