I saw thousands port Macquarie last week. They all looked very happy,I think they were making babies. lol

Top effort, I have been trying my luck with live squid, as well as live yakkas around the norther beaches with no luck. a few friends have been successful in the harbor so might give a go next week

I've seen a couple of big kingies landed at OMH, but my day has not come yet. hopefully I get to wet a line this week as the conditions are not looking too bad.

The odd squid and yakkas, always yakkas. Earlier this year, I even got garfish in several occasions. I actually got the info from this site! i just had to read a few hundred posts.lol

Pretty much I fish in the same spots you have mentioned. I frequent old mans hat as bait is always available there. I'm hoping to go to the mid north coast in the near future. any recommendations?

Hey Hak, where do you live? I generally fish off the rocks but I sometimes target Jew fish at night off the surf. I am not the most experienced fisherman but I'm sure to heads think better than one. Anyways let me know what you think. By the way I m new to Australia as well, only been here for a few years, I'm from VA.

I finally got a reply . lol. A few Bonito and salmon. Also averaging 3 squid per outing. Kingies have been MIA for a few weeks now, or maybe there are just not on when I'm fishing.

Hi y'all, I'm Mauricio, 30 yrs old. I live in the parramatta area with my wife and 2 kids. I joined Fishraider 2 weeks ago. I have been fishing for only 3 yrs. I fish land based around the northern beaches and harbour. I love targeting drummer but for the past a few months I have been chasing the elusive Kingies. I hope to buy a boat and the strongest sea sickness medication available in the near future, (hopefully Christmas present). Thank you all for your very informative reports, I look forward to contributing to this great site and fishing community.

Thanks for the reply, I caught one the other day in the 4-5KG range. I was told Macktunas are not good eating so I Salted and kept for bait. I will try it as sashimi next time i come across one.

Great session. I saw 2 guys fishing at the Hat the other day. They caught over 20 ludericks in about 2 hours

Great catch, I know the bonito is great sashimi. From 1 to 10 how do you rate the Mack tuna?

I use a Float. As for the Sinker it Depends, sometimes lives don't want to go down and the stay on top. So I give them a hand and put a liltle ball sinker.
