I have not caught any but I do fish the north side beach/ north side rocks. but I have heard of jews being caught on the south side off the rock platform but have to be carful with the swell

I have never tried this spot but great mackerel beach apparently has squid there not sure were abouts but it is a small bay shouldn't be to hard to find them

mate box head side any where really in Brisbane waters you will pick up flathead just look for the sandy bottom. Out the front of the club is a great sport wether you are drifting in a boat or flicking SP from the shoreline

mate Plantation Point you can flick out unweighted baits see how you go I have only fished that area of Jervis bay a couple of times

nice catch mate at woy woy bridge you can always walk towards the house inside that little bay from land there is a weed bed about 20m but between you and the weed bed there is a massive drop offs nice size bream and flathead hope this helps

Mate common sence is one of the biggest things but you will need rock boots with cleats a light life jacket a fishing mate as well never fish off the rocks alone seriously it is not worth it. a phone to check up on the wind/swell direction/height just be safe don't take stupid ricks. we fish off the stone on the central coast

mate up on the central cost we were using the 4" flick baits picked up salmon n tailor off the beach

Kev, I went to Clifton gardens on a Sunday on a ferry a few years ago and there was a few blokes were fishing I asked them what they were catching according to them they were using live yakkas to catch John Dory?? off the wharf? not sure how true that is but I was like yeah sweet ok good luck with that

mate I live in Baulkham hills, but I fish the central coast the only place I know that sell these pillis is costi bros seven hills inside the shopping center

mate you can buy human consumption pillis from your local seafood shop I would think they would be as fresh as you can get them rather than your frozen type

I have a Symetre 3000 with 12 pound cast away braid I used it for everything as a "Budget" rod I cant fault the I do most of my fishing with that combo from bait fishing from a boat or wharf, to catching flathead, salmon and tailor on soft plastics to using float fishing off the rocks catching drummer.

mate anywhere near the oyster leases. try under the railway bridge picked up a PB bream on a hard body from there

mate for some reason when ever I have fished Pittwater in my boat or a mates boat I have never had any success fish that water way yet I have had a lot of success in Brisbane waters -
mate as kids when we went to Jervis Bay we would get a 2L bottle cut a hole in the side of it fill about a 1/4 of sand while the bottle is on the ground sideways put bread in the hole waited about 5-10 mins while the bottle is sub merged about 5m off the shore line and then retrieved the bottle with mullet inside happy days. yes this maybe an old way of doing things but it worked than it should work today. good luck
