  2. Nice Bream there Damo. Congratulations well done. Cheers Bart.
  3. Can see now where you get your good looks from Stewy. That is what we call bonding, and what better way than to take your mum out for a fish. You know, there is one sure thing in life, and that is, we only have one mum. Enjoy. Cheers BART.
  4. I think you may be spot on there Jewgaffer. What with all the talk of rationalization etc. in the election campaign, our little friends from down below are very worried about that very fact. " DOWNSIZING" CHEERS BART
  5. Blame the elections lads. It all goes quiet when the elections are on. That's fishing. CHEERS BART
  6. NO WORRIES LADS, Have seen a lot worse than the Georges. At least it gets a good flush and it is improving all the time. An enjoyable day again by the look of it. Good on you Ross. Cheers BART
  7. HI ROBERTA, It is sad to see the old boys fade away. They are very special to me as I deal with a lot of his age on a daily basis. I have great conversations with them,be it fishing ,politics, football or life in general. We should treasure the elderly more, as I don't believe society is doing it enough today. Good on you Roberta. Kind Thoughts. Cheers BART
  8. Good one Roberta. Looks as if the Blackfish are getting to know you. Great to see you amongst them again. They will take up plenty of room in the pan. Cheers BART
  9. G'day Handyman, Welcome to Fishraider. We all have our opinions be that many, but as you will see this is a great site and most of us express our views fairly. Our members ages vary greatly and we are mostly passionate about our fishing. Those of us who prefer to send the big flatties back are thinking more about the future than the big feed. I myself, prefer the smaller fish for eating .On several occasions when I was your age I would catch and eat the Biggies. Not any more as I believe they have a job to do down below. But that is my opinion. Once again welcome mate and hope to see many more posts from you. CHEERS BART
  10. Top effort mate. Seeing that flattie picture sure makes me feel good. Keep up the good work. Have to agree with you about those undersize fish not being released. Education and spreading the word and a decent fine would also help. Cheers BART

    Old Age Setting In

C'mon Roberta , Cheer up,it could have been worse.Don't punish yourself. Maybe you are trying to do too much at once. Suggest you slow down a while ,go for a fish and relax. Then go back and find that bloody disc in a hurry. Hope you find it. I am sure it will turn up. Cheers Bart

    Lugarno

They were great days. Both the tackle shops were always flat out serving customers. I used to hire a boat at Humphrey's Boat Shed regularly and fish the Georges with the young brother. Cheers Bart
  13. Hi Jewgaffer, I am sure the idiots who are pointing the bow of their boats skyward believe it is a prerequisite to going to heaven. Not if I had my way though. Those bloody idiots can go to hell. Was on the Georges the day I saw a tinnie doing just that pointing skywards. Unfortunately for him he may have ended up in hell after landing on top of another boat. They get no sympathy from me when they don't think of others. I believe he was critically injured. No one else was involved. Cheers BART
  14. Floatation material is under seats in that model Quinnie Tinnie. Query as to whether it would have a good balance with a walking floor? Cheers BART
  15. Great report Roberta, and boy you make us envious as to how much fishing time you get in.Good stuff. How good is it when you have a float retriever at your fingertips. It is heartbraking when you sit their and watch helplessly as your favourite float goes on it's way. Thinking about training my canine friend to fetch a float. Problem is, he would not give it back. Cheers BART
  16. That looks like an old Quintrex Sportsman. Strong as . A great little tinnie. Approx 1980 AD. I would not modify it. Cheers BART.
  17. Don't muck around. Get it fixed professionally. Motor cars are serious stuff on the roads. Hope it all works out. Cheers
  18. Great catch mate, and good to see you send the big buggers back to the bottom. They will reward all again later on. Cheers BART

  20. Good to see the law out there earning a crust.Whether it be for their paypacket or topping up the government coiffers,as log as the idiots and the lairs are caught. At least hitting them in the pocket is one small way of getting the message across. Cheers Bart
  21. Yes, Tuggerah Lake is getting fresh clean water in bucketloads. Let us hope it translates to more fish. Cheers Bart
  22. Well done Jewgaffer.A good report and a good sport as well. Cheers BART
  23. Onya Steve, Great to see the old handlining skills being used. Cheers BART
  24. G,day Marty, I was up at The Entrance on Saturday and boy the In-Tide was really belting in. Yes as you said the water was very clear. Being close to a near King-Tide it was a pleasure to see the lake system receiving an injection of crystal clear water in volumes. Cheers BART.
  25. Congratulations Tony, Looks as if you will be spending more time at home.Less Fishing eh. It will be worth it though. Later on you will have the excuse " Have to go fishing to feed the kids." Then the next " Ah the kids want to go fishing." It gets better the more you have. Excuses that is. Congrats BART
