  1. Hi CHRIS, Dont let it get you down mate. Life gets better, as we get like the trees with more rings around it.(AGE.) So don't let the grass grow under you Get up there and recapture those memories, and don't forget to take the wife. CHEERS BART
  2. You can,t beat the sensation of a flattie about to be boated whilst he is sitting in the water. Good onya for putting it back. A lovely fish there. Cheers BART
  3. Hi PETER, The fishing is good ,relaxing and the ideal cure for stressed out City Folks. I love the place. The only thing that pisses me off are the young testerones who fly past and leave about a metre of wash. I wont worry their turn will come one day. Re the photos Peter, I somehow have to download from my SONY movie camera with those shots mentioned. I am still a novice at that, being a 1940's love child.( hate the term BABY BOOMER) However I am working at it. CHEERS BART.
  4. HI Peter, Magnificent photo,s taken of some of South West Rocks scenery. I too visit the Rocks to fish in July each year. It is essential to take the cameras especially when sunrise or sunset is happening. I took a photo one sunrise at the boat ramp of a herd of the local kangaroos standing on the hill sillouetted against the rising sun. Unreal shot. Also closeup shots of the dolphins on the Macleay. My only concern is that progress is changing SWR but that's life. CHEERS BART
  5. Glad to see I am not the only one who is financially paid up. It is good to see the powers that be, out and about. Cheers BART
  6. Like the Ad for smallgoods says. " Is DON is GOOD". Try it out mate and you will find out for yourself. It is amazing how much you learn that way. Cheers BART.
  7. Well said Rockhoppin. Experience on the rocks goes a long way. I learned a lot when I was a boy. My father would take me and my brother rockhopping to BOMBO rocks everyweek. I was shit scared climbing up and down the cliff and rocks . Just watching Dad fishing and getting the wash was an adrelin rush on it's own. He always spoke to us about the danger of the sea and never to take it for granted. He lost a few of his mates over the years in his youth whilst they were rockhopping. So there you go as I said earlier on this topic ( Communicate your knowledge to others and don't be ignorant of the Dangers of Fishing. CHEERS BART
  8. Well said Lads. COMMUNICATION is very important .We have to get this message across to everyone.Fishing is a great sport, but safety is a must, especially when FISHING, whether you can swim or not. Ignorance or not being aware of the DANGERS can be FATAL. CHEERS BART.
  9. WE SEE IT EVERY YEAR,PERSONS TRYING TO CATCH A FEED IN DANGEROUS SPOTS AND CONDITIONS. A LARGE PROPORTION OF THE FATALITES ARE OUR NEW MIGRANTS WHO OBVIOUSLY DO NOT MIX WITH EXPERIENCED FISHO'S. MANY OF THEM DON'T SPEAK OR READ ENGLISH. ALSO HOW MANY WATCH OUR TELEVISION OR READ OUR NEWSPAPERS. A GREAT MAJORITY ONLY WATCH MEDIA ON SATELLITE TV BEAMED IN FROM THEIR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN OR READ MEDIA IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE. SO WE ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO HAVE THESE PEOPLE GETTING INTO DIFFICULTIES.HOW ELSE ARE WE GOING TO GET THE MESSAGE ACROSS. THEY MUST COMMUNICATE AND LEARN. CHEERS BART
  10. SUGGEST WE GO TO WOOLIES AND BUY OUR FISH. IT WILL BE CHEAPER .THEN WOOLIES CAN BRING IN A FISHING PURCHASE VOUCHER AND DISCOUNT OUR FISHING TACKLE. Wait and see. CHEERS BART....... :1yikes :

  23. Great to see happy faces.Congratulations to Fishraiders for what seems to have been a great time had by all. Turned up to say Hello but all were out fishing. Put in a line a couple of times but to no avail. Headed for home and still in bed with a nasty cold. Can't give it to our fellow Fisho,s EH! Will catch up soon. BART.
  24. What amazed me when I fished in the territory was the site of crocs parked onto the banks like cars in a suburban carpark. Only the crocs are bigger than the cars. Later when the tide fell the aborigines squeezed in to have a fish. Little wonder the crocs are so big. Cheers BART.
