  1. G'day Raiders No worries about Internet Banking for me. My :wife:spent it all and I can't remember where I put my fishing money. Now did I have an Internet Account?? GREAT TO SEE FISHRAIDER UP AND RUNNING AGAIN. CHEERS BART
  2. Hi Roberta, I know what you are taking about re those blackfish at Tuncurry. When we were up there for the Fishraider weekend in June we spotted those monsters feeding on the swimming pool net. There were literally hundreds and some I would say over 45-50cm. It was a great sight watching them, however we continued on our sunday walk and let them be. Obviously they had no intention of looking for greenweed on the end of the hook at that stage of the year. Good to see you are still at em. Leave some for next year eh!. Cheers Bart
  3. G,DAY ROYCE and ROBERTA, WE WENT NORTH AS USUAL FOR THE WINTER THIS YEAR, AN ANNUAL EVENT FOR US BLACKFISHING BOYS. SWR IS OUR USUAL SPOT. THE BLACKFISH CATCH FOR US THIS YEAR WAS A LOT LESS THAN LAST YEAR ALTHOUGH WE DID MANAGE SOME NICE SIZEABLE FISH AMONGST THEM. EACH YEAR OUR TOTAL CATCH HAS BEEN DECREASING,ESPECIALLY IN THE LAST 4 YEARS. MOST OF THE GUYS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ,WHERE AS ONCE IT WAS FULL ON FOR THE BLACKFISH ,NOW YOU MUST HAVE ANOTHER PLAN OF ATTACK E.G BREAM,FLATHEAD ETC . ETC. I AM SURE MOST OF THE NORTHERN RIVER TOWNS ARE SEEING THE SAME HAPPEN. HOWEVER ALL WAS NOT LOST THIS YEAR AS WE HAD THE BEST YEAR YET ON THE BREAM CATCH ON SMOKEY BEACH. " AWESOME!!" BUT BEING A TRUE LOVER OF BLACKFISHING IT IS DISAPPOINTING WHEN YOUR EFFORTS OF YESTERYEAR HAVE NOT BEEN REPEATED. AH YES ROYCE, MAYBE STAY CLOSER TO SYDNEY NEXT YEAR. I COULD BE MISSING OUT. CHEERS BART
  4. HI ROYCE, NO mate,Ihave only been back in Sydney a few years, but it would not surprise. It is of much annoyance when I see the amount of Blackfish being netted up north. The Blackfish runs are getting smaller every year, and the locals aren't happy. They do I am sure end up in tin food etc. Good to hear from you. Cheers BART
  5. HI Roberta , Checked out the above website. Very interesting. Sad to see that they were nearly wiped out by the pro's. Would not like to see that happen here. Cheers Bart
  6. WELL SAID PELICAN. A GREAT POST. YOU COVERED IT PRETTY WELL. CHEERS BART
  7. SO RIGHT YEEROS, Take Note KING VIRGIN ,not for the novice fisho.......... ...............Extremely Dangerous......XXXXXXXXX CHEERS BART
  8. G'day KENMARE ( BOB ) Hoping to take the boat up to the Brisbane Waters very soon. I love drifting for the good old flathead along Paddy's or moving on toward Ettalong. Have not fished up there for quite a while. Are the Blue Swimmers around . CHEERS BART.
  9. G'day Howard, We learn something every time we go out after the Blackfish. Bait presentation is very important when chasing them. That is only one of the many tricks of the trade. A great sport is our Blackfishing. CHEERS BART
  10. Good to see you guys enjoy your first attempt at the Luderick. However watch that greenstuff when you walk on it. You can hit the deck pretty quick. BART
  11. Crikey, I hope you guys had plenty of petrol in the tank. Looks as if you did more travelling than fishing. But at least you seem to be enjoying yourselves . Good on ya lads Cheers BART
  12. G'day Raiders, Sad to see another fatality on our waterways. Be careful out there lads and set a good example for others to follow. With boating becoming more popular we need to get a more safe boating message out there. I dont feel safe out there, especially Georges River , Botany Bay where I like to fish. I have already lost my boat and gear because of another persons negligence. Please slow down and follow waterways rules. Safe Boating Raiders Cheers BART
  13. Great Pictures PETER, It is special to be able to capture great shots like that. Being on the beach with your fishing gear or your best girl whilst the sun is rising is something to behold. It is hard to beat. Cheers BART.
  14. Good to see you get a feed there SALTRIX. However the Missus is doing the good Catholic thing tonight. and cooking Atlantic Salmon for the family. It will help to alleviate the pain of not being out there on the water myself. She is pushing the barrow pretty hard at the moment,as she is not happy about forking out money to buy the fish. However I am working on solving that problem soon. Congrats Cheers BART
  15. GOODAY TIMZZ, I advise you to get to know this country first.Move around and mix with the people. Fishing especially around Rock Platforms can be extremely dangerous. Talking to people helps .however experience in fishing is important. Too many of our new migrants get into trouble by thinking that they just have to cast a line into the water. Safety is a MUST around these parts. Best of Luck. BART
  16. Bloody hell, this report is longer than the JEWGAFFERS efforts. Will need a week to sit down and take it all in. Cheers BART
  17. C'mon lads ,don't be nasty now. There are enough fish for everyone. FOR NOW! I see enough road rage. but rage on the water. NO , NO, NO. Not Good. Let us enjoy our fishing. BART.
  18. THAT'S FISHING . The early bird catches the worm. " Sorry FISH." Cheers BART.
  19. G'day RAIDERS, I was up home on the Central Coast today, when a truckload of Fishery Inspectors drove onto a headland reserve opposite my place. The 4WD had signage as such also Dept of Primary Industries signage. I did not follow them .But I am curious though. They are around lads but can't be everywhere at once. Cheers Bart
  20. Onya Ray, That is correct.Give the girls a break. Put them all back and Let them procreate. Crabbing is fun. Cheers Bart
  21. Yeah, you never know what is in those de...........ep holes at the RIP BRIDGE. EXCITING EH! CHEERS BART : :
  22. When it rains cats and dogs for a time our lake systems benefit greatly. The BIG DRY is doing a lot of damage.Human activity ,pollution etc can be seen in our systems. Good rains have helped the system at The Entrance on the Central Coast. However walking around the lake up there you can see the muck and ooze going into the lake on a daily basis. Human activity. NOT GOOD. Cheers BART
  23. That's fishing for you. Great to see the kids catching em. Maybe future Fishraiders. Cheers Bart
  24. On Yer Jewgaffer, Another top report. As usual you have put in aaaaaaaaaaaanother big effort. We can also see why this is so. You seem to put as much time into your fishing outings as you do your posts. Your reads are much appreciated by us Raiders. Cheers BART
  25. HI Peter, At least you caught it before that longline................r vessel. Cheers Bart
