  1. It was a good day to head out wide yesterday, tagged along with a friend and went straight to browns, still quite a few blue eye to be caught, with some gemmies,an alfonsino and a bass groper (not shown in pic) added to the mix. I jigged the whole day, caught three fish in total, nothing worth boasting about in size, but at least the blue eye is a first for me. As I am typing this out right now, my whole left arm feels quite sore...
  2. Wow, that is a big snapper from the rocks!
  3. Haha, my PB jew is even smaller than yours
  4. Hi, Slow jigging is not as simple as just jigging in slow motion, you can say it is a whole new technique, this should be a good source of info for you: http://www.anglers-secrets.com/slow-pitch-jigging/ Chao H.
  5. Some people like them, some people don't, I personally don't really like the texture.
  6. I have been hearing reports of people doing so and there should be a fish or two being caught with topwater lures...
  7. It is the most famous and unfortunately crowded spinning ledge in the eastern coast situated at little bay, need I say more? XD
  8. Thanks guys! 60g, single assist hook. Shimano Colt Sniper (JDM), Shimano Twinpower SW 5000 (JDM)
  9. Thanks! Haha, yeah, nice and comfy. This lazy bugger did not fight a bit, I thought I hooked a plastic bag...
  10. With the weather warming up, looks like it is time to dust off the shore jigging gear and go for "morning exercises" more often. Got a lil rat before work this morning, released unharmed.
  11. Haha, nah, not this time... This lizard smashed my vibe lure. Shore slow jigging is more effective on deeper areas because the jig sinks faster than a vibe.
  12. Great to hear you are having success with lures, next time you can try shore slow jigging and double your casting range.
  13. Whale beach is a very good spot, I usually fish around the Kingsford area. I used to think only deep water produced the big fish, but recent reports have led me to believe otherwise... Just have to be persistent, these fish could be anywhere.
  14. Weathers been crappy and the water temp is not high enough, probably just a awkward time of year, have not been doing as much fishing as I want... Yeah sure, I'd be happy to go out and find the fish with you!
  15. Thanks for the insight Jon, I am looking to get one of these on my jigs... might venture down to Tassie, Narroma or maybe just Kiama for a start.
  16. I guess luck plays a big part, it's been seven months, I have not landed a decent king from the rocks yet, just rats.
