  1. So Thursday i got a biomaster 5000SWPG . so i spooled it up and went fishing . and headed off to lakes to give it a go on the reef and it would have been a cracker of a session if it wasn't for 7 bloody seals . their bloody smart buggers too they watch you and as soon as you stand up to wind in a fish they start duck diving to see where the fish is and then a good fight go's to an almighty solid powerful run and sammy has your fish i lost 13 fish in 45 mins pity as it was thick with them . and after an hour and 14 min all i got to keep were these 2 , i have never seen so many seals on the 6 mile in one spot . cheers TAC
  2. well he had a funny way of looking at it , he said well this just saved me a couple a grand as it was booked in the be lifted in 2 days
  3. for some reason Neil i cant send you a pm
  4. i seen this one att 23:00 one night at my local ramp he said he was about to run up the trailer and heard a almighty thump over the boat motor and when he looked back up the trailer ran under the boat and his 80 series landcruiser ended up in the drink just under the roof . apparently the thump was the hand brake and the diesel motor was running at the time .
  5. i'm for vic and yes they are both yellow fin head slope and they both have the large anal spine this is a black click on image to get a better look and this is a yellow fin
  6. i will definitely second this and i only have a fuel injected BF40
  7. ok i am thinking of getting a SHIMANO 13 BIOMASTER SW 5000PG for the slower gear ratio for jigging out in some deeper water , i have a stradic 5000FK but at 6.2:1 it is ridiculous for out there with the heaver weights , it is great off the beach on the 9' rod i took it off so the real question is are the SHIMANO BIOMASTER SW any better than a stradic FK or just much of a muchness . cheers TAC
  8. and at least 8M 10M would be better of chain 10 or 12mm for your boat
  9. this is for nsw .... funny how you blokes don't need a rocket flare like we do in vic http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/maritime/safety-rules/safety-equipment/safety-equipment-table.html
  10. flatheadluke next time you run in to someone that looks like they have it all together and can do no wrong just remember they have probably done all that and them some .
  11. uh oh you're in trouble now won't be long now you will have 6 different box's of plastics and also other box's for jug heads it's a slippery slope haha
  12. my comment for extra fuel wasn't because you think you will need it for a longer session it was meant for safety purposes i have a small boat (4.2m) and fish in bass strait and i carry 1 25lt and 1 12lt tank and a spare hose . i had to tow a boat back one day years ago because he had a split hose .
  13. first thing is to carry some extra fuel . others will be along shortly with some fishing info cheers TAC
  14. i second the saragosa i got one for my tarez
  15. so was this the problem ? or was i wrong again
  16. flatheadluke you have an impressive pb list now watch them grow all the best with your fishing .i have just got another boat after 5 years without one now that was painful .
  17. yes there are no negative's just the perception that the boat is narrower that one without
  18. and this is just from 2 builders but you get the picture
  19. have a look in any boat builder options list they are sid decks and it has nothing to do with silly can holders it has everything to do with a more solid and rigid boat if you have been in the same boat with and without them in the rough you will know what i mean . the boat will have zero flex .
  20. well done mate and you will soon realize one of the best options is the side decks i would never have a tinny without them
  21. thats it , got it in one next time i get out i will do a vid
  22. try the DW button beside the 16 button sounds like it's in dual watch
  23. with not being able to get out of the house for 2 days i got my son to drop off a couple a meters of 4mm 316 stainless steal so i could make some dehookers i love these things there very basic but work a treat KISS , now i just need to get the welder out and drop a spot where the handle bit contacts the main shaft and their done .
  24. well you better stock up then as shimano are dropping starlo & bushy from squidgies in september but not sure they will drop the lure as well but i wouldn't get caught with ya pants down if they do .
