  1. AFAIK its just a slightly larger spool and a few more grams . i fish out of a boat for bream flattys trev's and the like so casting distance isn't much of a concern to me but i still get a fair way with 2lb braid on a 1000 stradic and 1-3kg rod , if land based and you need the distance go a 2500 and a 2-4kg rod all 7' but on the heavy rod go a good 4lb it breaks at about 6-7 lbs . cheres TAC
  2. pflueger trion for the rod i have 5 of them , for the reel i can't help you as i don't have anything under a stradic a shimano symetre 2500 maybe ?
  3. go for it no different than chasing fish in a boat with sonar , structure scan , side scan and all that gear just a lot cheaper

  6. even with two people don't go below 12' 3.75m as anything smaller will be very unstable for a newby 13' 4m would be better

  17. you are going the wrong way about it go from the shallows to the deeper water
  18. the best advise i can give is sometimes it's best to leave the rod in the car for a while and go for a walk and see what they are using and how they are using it eg the gear how far they are casting the bait or lures and if lures how fast the retrieve is and so on . you can learn a lot by doing this . hope this helps . cheers TAC
