  1. Now that is a scorching session...well done on the cracker flatty and the even crackier jew. Nice when the plan works in a short space of time!
  2. Hodgey, That is a magic post with some ripper pics. I haven't been out out for a month due to very busy weekends with work and weddings etc. Your story has cheered me up and has motivated me to get out this weekend for some croc huntin' The sight of the big girl under the boat must have been a cracker!
  3. Great bag Jim....you'll need a wide angle lens for a good day!
  4. Ray, how long was the lie? I found one on a shallow sandbank last summer of about 80cm and hit the spot a week later with a live prawn at 6:30am and scored a 75cm flatty hooke in a foot of water.
  5. Geez Pig on a plastic....maybe that will be the next craze all over the cover of next month's fishing mags!
  6. Beer and prawn night at your place boys!
  7. That's a postcard shot...great haul and bon apetit!
  8. That is massive...hope to hear more details of the capture and see some action pics too!!
  9. Congrats on the biggest Flatty and you guys cleaned up!!!
  10. Great fish and looks in good condition...bet it fed a few!
  11. Great post Roberta and some nice pics too...well done on the Rainbow!
  12. Great stuff Rob and well done on the upgrade PBs! You get some corker bream in that area. If you don't mind me asking, do you drift and bounce the worms over the bottom or give them some action? I have picked up a few good flatties around ther too!
  13. Mako, That is a superb seafood platter! Bad luck on the big croc...it isn't a good feling when the lure has been inhaled is it? I headed out this arvo further the river in between showers and it looked like sensational conditions...the water was showing up as 21 degrees....3 up on last week and the back end of the run out was flowing nicely. I scored a 40cm flatty early and thought it was going to be on but could't raise another decent fish. Had one very interesting bump on abig HB but it didn't stick. Great arvo out on the water but they did't want to play!
  14. That's a senstaional bag there and some top eating fillets to be prepared for the week!
  15. Danny, Your told me about the flatty...well done! I think your newfound enthusiasm will bring about plenty of success this summer. I've been flat chat and havent wet a line for a couple of weeks. Will get out there soon!
  16. Expensive addiction! Welcome to the dark side....if you tell me what you can do with plastics....I'll let you in a few HB secrets!
  17. Now that was a better arvo than most of us Ray!
  18. That has created a lifelong angler...well done to the little guy and all that after the famous words "Dad I hope we catch one like that'. Top stuff!
  19. Great effort...that's a surfboard! Wel done on releasing the old crocette. I have rarely seen them take off at speed after release so that would have been good to see....they normally croc their way at walking pace back to deeper waters.
  20. Mako You have got the HB trolling sussed in W Bay. I didn't get out this weekend and am chomping at the bit to get a fresh feed of flatties on the table. What mainline & leader are you using?
  21. Great to see the ice cubes getting amongst some quality fish and all geared up too!
