  1. Hodgey, I just showed my family the pics of your trip and it looks like you have done the right thing and escaped the tourist hoards...fishing here has been pretty average for a week or so. I just love those pics of the shacks and the masterchef kitchen! Great cod BTW!!!!!
  2. Sounds like you made the most of a not so pleasant day!
  3. Some beautiful fish there...how do they fight?
  4. It wasn't a good day for me...after 8 flatties 4 days ago, I fished the same spots and similar tides for one squid on a live poddy.
  5. Awesome trip Josh...no wonder you booked to go again next year.
  6. I didn't think trumpeter would be worth using live because of the spines but I threw one on a couple of weeks ago and a 7cm flatty absolutrly nailed it!
  7. Nice fish and check out the difference in weight between 70 and 78cm!
  8. Amazing pics...wouldn't you like the GW ina home aquarium??
  9. Some top fish there Dhype...pays to persist in not so good weather doesn't it? Well done on the horse bream and those scorching flatties.
  10. Add a carton of Crown Lager chilled and enjoy!
  11. Fantastic report Ray and the boys. Good to see you putting fellow raiders onto your fav spots Ray. Great pics and magnificent release of that croc. Top shelf stuff!!!
  12. Some top whiting there....a fishing holiday is a real holiday!
  13. Great bag...everyone seeems to be getting the breambos in the bay!
  14. What an eventful morning and a good feed there too!
  15. Good advice....my wife works for a shoe company too! Will place my order!
  16. Hit the water in my kayak at 6:30am armed with smallish poddies and the usual lures, hoping to catch the last hour of the run out. Instant results with 4 fish coming on board by 7:30am. Three of these were on a ZX35 with one hook missing! Headed out into the channel for the run in without much luck. Back over the flats saw two more flatties come on board and the pedal back to the ramp produced two more. Final score was ZX35 4 - poddies 4. The other lures didn't do much today. Four fish between 50-60cm equals nice fillets and the rest were in the low 40s. Ready to have the outlaws over for a feed this week! Funniest thing was hooking a 3" squid on a lure bigger than it. (forgot the camera as it would have made a great pic!) The %^&* took a chunk out of my finger so explained to him that it was time to go swimming with a wide gap hook in his hood. Needless to say he was smashed within seconds but pesky tailor scissored him in half. All in all, a productive morning and not too many boats out.
  17. Top feed and things look good for the week ahead!
  18. Man that is a cracking session. Well done from a fellow yakker!
  19. Absolute cracking fish there...you will stat a frenzy in the area!!
  20. Here is the+_+_) box I bought for $25. And a few lures for your perusal
  21. Hey Bigi, That 4th lure down in the second box is my killer flathead lure. I've caught 4 flatties over 70cm, including a 97cm croc in the past month on that exact lure. I've tried to buy another couple but can't find them. Wanna sell it?
