    Looks like I'm now out for this as my mum is in John Hunter hospital in the last stages of emphysema. I have been up here all week and fishing is the last thing on my mind. Hope to catch up with some raiders soon enough!

    They are great fis...I wished I had braved the water in my kayak today but hit a lame land-based spot up river with my 6yo.

    Great surprise. Roberta, tarwhine tatse better with a meatier shoulder fillet. They have a black stomach lining so I do them skinned and boned. They also pull very hard on their intial run!!

    Tarwhine certainly go harder than bream. They are slightly fatter and taste good around 30+ cm.

    Roberta You are getting some thumpers on a regular basis. I feel I have lost my fishing mojo as I haven't caught anything worth posting for a couple of months...partly because of a new job and me fishing with my little guys off the local beache chasing whiting. I'm keen to get back in the yak and have a decent crack at some qulaity fish soon.

    Thatt's a fantastic croc there PT and well done on getting th emini poddies out there. I took my 6yo out the front of ramsgate and Monterey tgoday with worms and a few poddis I caught. Very quiet except for a 33cm flounder that snavelled a poddy. I might give WB a go on Monday!

    Hey Pete, I just got back from the same crrek today after 4 days in a waterfront house. We had a great week too with plenty of fish. I'll post some pics later.
