Dicko, I've been through the same "its only paint bubbles mate, nothing to worry unless u're one of them who worries about the looks not the performance..etc..." speil once and the only difference between myself and you is that i actually ended up buying the damn thing! Similar scenario to yours, awsome motor, good trailer and a nice tinny with some "paint bubbles"
but oh boy didnt it freak me out when i took it to this paint shop only to find out the bloody thing is covered with corrosion left right and centre.. the painter reckons its was NOT worth fixing it unless im prepared to spend approx $2k to fix the whole thing (excluding the cost to pull the motor out, turn the boat upside down etc..) So, ive ended up selling it less than half of the purchased price..
so there, my little boat story..however, that being said im not saying the one you;re looking at is crap..but shop around..
on another note, if you have approx $6k budget, why dont you go for a good sized half cabin glass boat..much more comfortable..
