the jig works but he uses it more like trawling and not with a clip and handline. He has that straight on his fishing line he just attaches it to his swivel and trawls it on one side while he has a downrigger down on the other side. Its just another way of getting the bait lower, it does work.

well done dave. hope the bigger ones come inside in numbers this weekend. There were heaps of the smaller models around last weekend.

i went to use it on the weekend as well and noticed the tap gone. It actually looks ripped off but the water isnt running out so someone must know about it.

Thanks for the squid Slink, was good to get into some more kings with you. Thanks also to Dan and Tomahawk for there dontation of live squid as well. I managed to convert those into more kings. What a great day on the water!!

Oz thats great footage mate, watching the first clip makes me want to go chuck the boat in now!! Thanks for all your downrigging advice, i managed to land my first kings on the downrigger yesterday. Once we got one it just kept happeing for us. CHeers

Hey Stump, Sheep cant make it this weekend anyway mate, she's getting drenched this Saturday! Wouldnt have minded a run out to the FADS, cant this weekend though gotta be in and out pretty quick on Saturday - maybe next time. Do you think my boat will be safe enough its a 4.7m dehaviland with a 40. Cheers Dan

Hello raiders, I may have a spot available this Saturday morning for a session in the main harbor. I have had a few mates pull out at the last minute once or twice so just wanted to see if there was any interest from anyone. I will be leaving tunks park Saturday morning at around 430am fishing the main harbor and then heading back around 1030am. I will let you know by 7pm Friday night if the spot is available. Ive said it many a time Australian Salmon are fine to eat as long as they are prepared properly. Bleed them and you can make a great curry, shallow fried as mentioned above. But my all time fav is wacking a fillet off it coat it in brown sugar and salt and smoke that bad boy in the smoker!! Im sure Roberta and a couple others will agree
