Gday mate, Always great to meet another Raider. As you pointed out our day was S@#! as well. We had live and fresh squid, live yakkas, pillies, lures, soft plastics and whatever you could think of but nothing took. We trawled from North head right around to Manly and back for zilch we fished half the markers and clifton for zilch and then we downrigged MH for another couple hours for zilch. I guess if there not around there just not around!! See you on the water again soon lumpookey. Cheers Dan

solid days fishing there mate well done. Would have been the perfect way to finish the day by catching whatever it was smashing your gear.

Well done Andrew!! New you would crack a couple squid if you kept at it. Now that you have a squid notched up you will know the feeling when there tugging on your line and things should get even better for you. Glad you got your kingy mate, had you been in the boat I saw you at Clifton in that 62cm specimen would have pulled you all over middle harbor. I found the kings frustrating today, we could entice them to the surface with poppers but they would take any of the baits we chucked out from metal slugs, big squidgys, soft plastics, fresh and frozen suid and even pillies!! I guess there just not hungry. Will have to get our for a fish soon mate. Cheers Dan

Hi guys, im very interested in this thread as well. I know im not there yet but in a couple of years im hoping to be up there getting into some game. What would be the absolute minimum boat and motor you would start out game fishing in? I only have a little 4.7m Aluminium with 40hp on it now but in a couple of years ill be upgrading so I want to know now what id be looking at paying. Im not looking to get into the best thing money can buy just something to start out. Before that time comes ill be taking more charters, learning, asking questions and gaining more confidence. Any help is appreciated. Dan

you lucky buggers, great report Ceph. We had similar bite action on Sunday for about a half an hour with similar results. After about 10 hook ups and one was a triple hook up at one stage we only managed 1 landed at 74cm. cant wait to get out again. ps Ceph were you out on Sunday with about 4 blokes in your boat?

Thats a Thumper mate, well done. How long did it take you to get it in? There were some big fish around yesterday. We lost a couple bruts early on in the morning.
