This has happen to me also as I fish ferry wharfs also and kings I have found hard to stop after long fights they also heard for under the wharf I have found just keep the pressure on them rod up and skull them out is the best way -

Nice report and top photos well done -
All those lures you have will work for bream. I have been using top water lures and getting bream from the shore from wharfs using driving lures while your fishing for bream with lures other fish will hit the lure. Lures can be great fun .
