  1. Hope everything works out well Donna. Get better soon. Mr and Mrs Boban
  2. What everyone else said. I did my own live bait tank out of fibreglass and did my work experience in year 10 at a boat building yard. I know all about fibreglass getting everywhere. No one told me not to wear shorts... That boat looks so good.
  3. You are catching those in my backyard!!!!!!! I have to stop listening to those people who tell me that its no good as soon as it cools down. I have already got that magazine and read it a couple of times before cutting it out. You have me very excited mate. Good article by the way. Hope you stick around. Cheers Mitch PS- we have some talented bream specialists on this site, thats for sure.
  4. You should try smelling a certain person's ugg boots when he leaves them on your boat. If only I had thought of the aftershave and cotton ball trick then. I think that was karma.........
  5. That indicates a high current draw. If you are going to purchase a switch just make sure it can handle 20A at 12volts. Most of those supplied with the kit will not handle that. I think you will find a relay or two in most outboards BTW. My biggest concern with the relay would be corrosion at the contacts. Like Dave says you can avoid them if you get the appropriate switch. I would not wire it without the relay if using the supplied switch. It will work but not for long.
  6. Somehow I am sure that the Kellyville based boys and girls would prefer the drive a little to the east as would the North Coast mob. In any event I can possiblY wrangle some further numbers from the boys in the local fishing club.
  7. The relay is necessary as the weak point in the circuit is the switch. The use of a relay means that the switch(the one you press) is used to switch the relay(which is in itself a high capacity switch). The simple answer is yes unless you can get a switch to handle the current that will be drawn by the horn. Use the relay.
  8. Galston RSL or Dural Country Club would be nice
  9. That's a ripper of a fish mate. Absolute ripper. My best is 42cm off Umina beach and I couldn't believe how big it was then and I have never come close since. I can only imagine your surprise in getting a 46cm model. Gee that's a big whiting.
  10. I was thinking the same thing.
  11. Embedding doesn't work here mate, you need to post a link.
  12. Caught one or two have you mate? Sounds good to me.
  13. Im not sure if you have read the report but within it there are all different regions. The report is Hawaiian in origin but the maps include Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines and other areas near our shores. Were do you get "our CURRENT charts" you refer to?
  14. Well you have 2 I guess. Possibly start up another thread for that and see how it goes. I think we have some excellent bream guys on this forum. I reckon a night all about bream on lures, bait and different locations would create some interest. What do you guys reckon.
  15. How many do you need? I'm interested.
  16. Nice work there Roberta. Do you reckon some of the Raiders need to be told three times before it sinks in..
  17. Ross you sure are doing it tough. Coming back to Sydney's always tough after that... Time to get Broady cleaned and fired up for the fin and snapper. I don't think you are going to get too much time to fish for blackfish mate this season. Cheers Mitch
  18. He's good that boy of yours, very good. Can't wait for the 22nd of this month. Cheers Mitch
  19. The chart is for the Western Pacific Region within which Australia is meant to be included according to the report. I don't know but there doesn't appear to be a wealth of info on this subject. I did see a formula you can use if you have the fork length and the girth of the fish. Anything more accurate would be good.
  20. That's an awesome report Slinky. Any photos?
  21. You have a very expanded view of Europe. I know a lot of the player's parents come from there, I somehow don't think it counts.
  22. As a Spanish supporter you need all the strength you can get. They have always had the individuals, a fantastic league (full of Spanish players too) but have never played well as a team. The perpetual underachievers as opposed to Germany who nearly always seem to do well even without the individuals. Might be something about it being a team sport. I think most of the countries who qualified, topped their group. What does that mean? In any event, I hope they do well.
  23. I don't know how I missed this thread earlier but I did. That is a good fin (the one pictured) in any man's world. Look at the girth on it. When you pick up a 40kg bag of cement regularly, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that the fish is a lot heavier even if it is awkward to lift. Of course you can get it wrong, I called Pete's for 45kg and it only went to 41kg. Mine was bigger and Stewy's was bigger again. There are some big fish out there. Very big. The one we lost on the gaff was bigger again. I don't get why there is a need to express your doubt out in the open. It just puts a sour taste in the poster's mouth and causes unnecessary angst. It should be a time for the guys to celebrate their capture not deal with criticism and doubt. I know for a fact that when I went fishing with Greg L, my bream was bigger than his (even though he had so many more fish to pick from). The photos however do not seem to show that. In the end it doesn't matter, its all about sharing the moment with guys who enjoy the same sport not who's got the biggest and better gear, boat, fish, wallet or whatever. Well done on the capture guys. Cheers, Mitch
  24. I'll bet the Dollie didn't put up much of a fight on the 24kg gear you got there.
  25. It's because they go rounder rather than longer. As Anthony (Big Banana) said in his post, you gotta check the girth on these things.
