Well done mate. I had few learning sessions with @DerekD and I had so much fun learning from him. He is a living legend with great fishing knowledge. I wish to have more sessions but currently super busy with my work schedule.

Hey D, I was waiting for You to write this report as you have better writing skills than me. And yeah you did a fantastic job here. I enjoyed every minute of that session, one of the best flatties session I ever had.
Look at that photo of me smiling ear to ear and going nuts to manage that bending rod. Man it was crazy. I should also mention about that rig, most of our fish were hooked on that bottom hook, we definitely had a good setup. Thanks to you mate.
Thanks again for taking me out and looking forward for our next fishing session.

It was an amazing experience. Thanks @dlvbw for taking me out. I really had absolutely cracking time. It was a mix bag of fishing - 9/10 rat kingies, few pinkies, rock cod, baby flatties ; even though no keeper is still thousand times better than sitting home n watching Netflix.
D , you are a legend mate, I truly appreciate people like you who have boat , taking out people like me. Many thanks to Fishraider to provide such platform to share n care all anglers.
Looking forward to catch that big croc mr.crocodile Dundee @dlvbw .

Hello Raiders
Finally got a day off next Tuesday (18/08) and desperate to go out to have a good day. I have my own tackles and love to share in all expenses ( fuels, snacks, baits etc). Don’t have boat but have been fishing with a mate who had boat. So I know how messy it can get after a good day fishing, so happy to help cleaning the boat after fishing as well.
** based in North Sydney but happy to travel.
** No sea sickness problem
** Most importantly a very easygoing person with a jolly good personality.
so if any one with a boat heading out this Tuesday and like to get to know another fellow raider please give me a buzz.
cheers

@MaxSakuma great, I’m sending a pm with my mobile number, I only work 1 weekend in every month, so anytime you want, let’s catch up.
@Jayds mate sure we can plan something for weekdays if we can match our timings. Will pm you my number.
@mrsswordfisherman Sure - raiders are always their for each other. We have few highly skilled and experienced anglers , and fishraider gave me the opportunity to meet and learn from them. Thanks to all of you out there and special thanks to my mentor, my guru @DerekD.

@King chaser thanks mate. Will do that from now. I’m not really good in writing things, that’s why I try to go nice and short. But I got your point and will follow your suggestions.
I am based in northern side of Sydney but I am open to go n meet likeminded anglers and fish together even if they are many miles away.

PM sent - I've probably got either Sunday or Monday free and probably both and if so I'll be heading out for a fish.
I have a kayak and do a lot of shore based in the lower north shore.
I usually mentor a few people each year as you might notice if you go through some of my past posts. At the very least I should be able to help getting you up to speed in the general area.
Thank you DerekD for your time. It was nice to meet you face to face and learn a lot from you in our very first session. To be honest it was my first ever soft plastic experience and even though it was ‘ learn to cast’ session; I was surprised to hook a baby snapper. LoL
I came home n realised how tiny little small things makes a massive difference. I surely started to look after my rods and reels ( most of them I have already damaged anyway) but as you said ‘ it’s about habit’ and that I need to change.
I respect you for your patience to teach a noob angler and pass your valuable experiences and skills. Looking forward for more sessions soon.
Thanks again.

Thanks Everyone
From the day when I posted first till today I’m going out fishing SOLO with Kayak or landbased. Got few breams, few small flatties as well as baby pinkies. Now I am seriously desperate to find a buddy/ mate/ Guru or a mentor to learn new things and fish together.
Fridays weather looks okey so far. Thinking to go around spit bridge area and fish 2–4 hrs this Friday arvo. Anyone interested? I’m open for all ideas and tips.
