    Tomorrow

i'm getting ready to drop the daughter off at school before i head down to meet stewy and i just got a phone call from him telling me to HURRY UP THEY"RE ON! i've never met a more exciteable fisho than him so i'm expecting a big day
  2. yep thats the way i call them mate
  3. sorry to hear about the camera mate. it was great meeting you,we will have to meet up again for a fish soon and see if we can get amongst them.
  4. no you can't !!! it's my secret spot
  5. i was coming back in from the 50 mtr mark and hooked him about the 30 mtr mark, i was traveling pretty quick too, its surpriseing how bloody fast those things swim.
  6. love these posts netic, have you told "jewnob" about fishraider and suggested his nic?
  7. hit the bay early and conditions were perfect so i grabbed a half dozen livies and then decided it was too nice to stay inside the heads so i trolled outside and headed north. i came across some birds working their little wings off so i pulled my lures along the edge of the action for zero results but the sounder showed huge numbers of big fish under me. a quick re-rig saw livies going overboard on two outfits and expectations high. ZZZZZZZZZZZ snap !!!!! damn not enough drag!!! oh well i still have 5 more livies, motor back up and drop them again but this time my lines start floating back to the surface jackets!!!! lost all the livies so i trolled lures around for a while for one small stripie (about a kg) and a bonnie then headed in to the third runway and met up with seajay. got a nice burley trail going and it wasnt long before the slimies were there in numbers and size. after a few hours of great fun i moved up to moll point for a couple of hours of rest (not a bite ). on the way back to the ramp i decieded to give the first runway a shot and it went off big time. In a two hour session of floating bonnie strips and flicking unweighted plastics i boated well over 30 trevs, most of them small but i kept 8 over 30cm. while all this was happening i had a bait on the bottom that went off on a screaming run that ended with the line breaking on the eye of the hook (not at the knot). so a great day weather wise ended with a lot of action on light gear and a good feed to boot, who could ask for more.
  8. great report guy's, now get back out on the water and and catch bream on SP's again.
  9. after waaaay to long a break i'm putting the boat in the water on saturday going solo at the moment but i'm sure that will change. sunday see's mothers day duties. monday i will be checking out a new job offer.
  10. 1. kingies 2. dollies 3. trevs 4. jewies 5. lizards we eat as much fresh caught fish as we can get our hands on but have not bought any (apart from farmed speices) for many years.
  11. my sentiments exactly, park your boat the same distance from others that you would want them to park from you if you were there first. and remember that etiquette starts before you hit the water, have your boat ready to go before you back down the ramp so you are on the ramp for the shortest possible amount of time.
  12. http://www.maritime.nsw.gov.au/maps.html thats the page with all the waterways maps mate
  13. my mechanic has got hold of a 15hp merc (he thinks about 4 years old) and is after a tinnie to suit it. he wants to be able to carry two people and scuba gear plus a few crab pots and minimum fishing gear. he want to be able travel up on its plane and is wondering what size tinnie would best be suited to the 15hp. what do you guy's think?
  14. you old fart. must be happier now that you qualify for cheaper train fairs and movie tickets have a great one mate

    The Weekend

no fishing for me again but i will be going to laugh ummmm i mean support sharky while he plays local rah rah today. tomorrow see's us going to a few markets so the wife can decide where she wants to start selling the jewellry she makes. might go for a landbased flick off brighton on monday.
  19. it's a lure fishing game fishing from shore and boat, fish i've caught so far are pike, salmon, perch and trout. the game file is only 214meg and i've run it on win98se and xp machines. you can fish tournaments, social or adventure . great graphics and sound, hearing the drag screaming is very realistic when a 30lb pike monsters yur lure and like real life ive had a few fishless trips, its not just a cast and catch type game you need to look at structure and lure selection to hook up.
  20. does anyone have this game? i just got it and the bloody thing is just as frustrating as the real thing great game for all you SP junkies
  21. forgive me if i sound a bit elitest but whenever i see litter from fisho's its usually in the form of the plastic bags from frozen prawns that are bought at the local servo. as far as i'm concerned these are usually bought by the ocasional fisho that might take the kids for a fish if there is nothing better to do. fisho's that are commited to their sport are amongst the most enviromentaly concious people i know. They realize the impact that litter has on their sport and are proactive in ensureing the enviroment is left in a state that ensures the future health of the system they fish in. and if you are one of the mongrels that leave your rubbish behind i hope all your fish are toads and your rods snap on each trip out.
  22. mate they were a great graze, and well worth the beers you had after the game (congrats on winning mate) Teri has decided that i'm the head chef for fish after cooking lunch useing that recipie i told you about. guess what we're having again for dinner
  23. whilst i feel badly for the cute and cuddly baby fur seals i can't help but wonder if people would feel the same if cow's, sheep and chickens etc. were slautered in the wild. i personally think that the animal lib's kick up a stink because they're cute and that it's out in the open. when ever i am confronted by a rabid vegie i throw a "proven scientific fact" at them that states: "a cucumber has been proven to have more live nerve ending's than a cow so therefore must feel pain" whislt that is probably total BS it shuts them up long enough for me to enjoy my steak
