  1. @R E G I C Y C L E Well done! Love it when the drag sings. FYI there is a brewery very near where you were fishing. It’s called Akasha Brewing Company. I don’t know what their beer taste like. @Little_Flatty
  2. @frankS Good to know. It was so pretty. I released it.
  3. @Blackfish @frankS I reckon you guys are right! Based on the description online, it looks like it is a paradise threadfin bream (Pentapodus paradiseus). Thank you very much! Well done. @frankS Do you mean a blue line next to the dorsal fin? If yes, then I can see a bit of it when I enlarge the photo.
  4. Hi. Any ideas what fish this is? It was caught last week in Sydney harbour.
  5. Two days ago, I saw a squid follow my white soft plastic. So I changed to a squid jig (a blue one - I wasn’t thinking about colours) and caught a squid on my first cast. I find Japanese fishing fascinating. How they are so gear and technique specific on a particular species. Like fishing for ayu or mudskippers.
  6. @wazatherfisherman Thank you for sharing your amazing wealth of knowledge! I’ve been reading some of your fishing stories and they are enjoyable.
  7. @DerekD Great article! It is well thought out and put together. Thank you for taking the time.
  8. @Bennyg78 Hope you are feeling better and can get back to fishing soon. Are your hands twitching? 😬
  9. @Madkanu I literally laughed out loud! 😂 @DerekD has reached a new level - he now does Inception! Beware everyone, he can now teach you in your dreams too.
  10. @Mike Sydney Great article! Thank you. Have the Drew M videos been taken down?

  12. @GordoRetired Great report! Well done.
  13. WOW!!! That is truly amazing! Well done! 🙌
  14. I would love to go fishing with you!!! Unfortunately, our car doesn’t have a tow bar. 😞 I’m truly honoured to be invited to join you fishing. Thank you very much! Hopefully we can work something out in the near future. By the way, do you do any land based fishing?
  15. @mrsswordfisherman Hi. Congratulations on both PBs!! Hope you break them soon. I haven’t tried freshwater fishing in Australia yet. I’ve been thinking of catching carps. For fun and removal of pests. You look beautiful in those photos. Hope you have a fun time in Lake Mulwala catching lots of fish.
  16. @jenno64 Thank you! It was such a wonderful surprise. Tight lines!
  17. @Pickles Wow! I LOVE dogs, especially labradors. They are such wonderful and amazing creatures. That is a beautiful photo of you and Rosie. She is very cute. 21. @FishingFables Thank you! And to you too. 🎣
  22. Hi @Pickles. Wish I had that "problem". 😁 Glad to hear you had a great day out.
  23. @Pickles Thank you! Which fish (at the same size) do you think fight harder - a kingfish or a cobia? I have never eaten a cobia. What do they taste like?
  24. @bessell1955 I have never eaten a cobia. What do they taste like?
  25. @Green Hornet Thank you! I was pretty stoked to have caught one.
