Well done. @frankS Do you mean a blue line next to the dorsal fin? If yes, then I can see a bit of it when I enlarge the photo.

    Hi. Any ideas what fish this is? It was caught last week in Sydney harbour.

    Two days ago, I saw a squid follow my white soft plastic. So I changed to a squid jig (a blue one - I wasn’t thinking about colours) and caught a squid on my first cast. I find Japanese fishing fascinating. How they are so gear and technique specific on a particular species. Like fishing for ayu or mudskippers.

    @Pickles Thank you! Which fish (at the same size) do you think fight harder - a kingfish or a cobia? I have never eaten a cobia. What do they taste like?
