  1. Good onya blokes, And was'nt it a fantastic day on the water. Great report and pics once again Ray. Cheers, Bruce
  2. G'day all, Took a mate out off Terrigal yesterday, for what turned out to be a fantastic day on the water. It was truly one of those days when fish were just a bonus, but what a bonus with fish seemingly wanting to commit suicide on our hooks throughout the day, leaving us with no choice but to deliver the last rites to numerous Snapper,Flatty's,Mowie's and even a couple of Samson fish.(as well as a plethora of very large specimens of the usual B.P's,Sargeant Bakers and other reef ooglies, but don't keep any of these). Anyway,I took daughter no.1 down to the lake to feed the pelicans the leftovers after filleting, skinning, boning etc.and i was wondering what everyone else does with their leftovers when you already have plenty of burley and crab bait? Pics to follow shortly. Cheers, Bruce
  3. OOP'S, Sorry Mrs Swordie, just found that post, must have been flustered by the trauma of no Fishraider when i got home today. Thanks again. Cheers, Bruce
  4. Just found this post, thanks Ray and fellow Raiders for the good wishes.Makes me feel all warm and gooey inside. Cheers, Bruce
  5. And a rabble rousing rendition of "Ya say it's your birthday" to anyone else that might be enjoying a couple of celebratory bevvies on this fine day! Chers, Bruce
  6. G'day Anthony, I'm a bit confused mate, your looking at a service provider in Carringbah, but yor profile says you are from the Central Coast. If you are from the coast, any of the local tackle shops should be able to see you right. Cheers, Bruce
  7. Bung a Fishraider sticker over it mate, all good. Cheers, Bruce
  8. Looks great Dave, well it looks like i'm sold on this stuff.I'll try and remember to take some pics before during and after the laying of the new flooring. Thanks to all raiders who put in their 2 bobs worth. Cheers, Bruce
  9. G'day Dave, Thanks for that info mate, everything that the salesman promised and more, but it's worth 1000 times more coming from a satisfied customer. I'll be eagerly awaiting those photos Dave, that boat name idea sound great, but probably too much overkill in my beloved old girl. Thanks for your help mate, Cheers, Bruce
  10. Thats the stuff Marlin, Would you have any tips on laying this product, and if it is a worthwhile change from marine carpet?.Do you have any pics of your boat with the Regupol flooring in it, and how does it stand up to the rigeurs of fishing, tubing, cruising etc,any drawbacks. Any info would be great. Cheers, Bruce
  11. G'day Raiders, After many years of putting up with the drawbacks of marine carpet, i have been searching for a suitable alternative that meets my demands. I have been after something that will not hold water, will not catch hooks etc, easy to clean, non slip, weatherproof and is comfortable underfoot.I think i have found it! ,i saw this product mentioned somewhere else, and thought it sounded good,so i sent away for a sample(which was sent late yesterday arvo ,and landed in my hot little hands this morning ). It's a 3mm thick rubber mat product that seems to meet the criteria i was after, and i reckon i looks the goods too. What do you guys think ? Cheers, Bruce
  12. Went after Flathead and came home with Snapper,oh well, beggars cant be choosers.

  13. If it helps at all,the cleaning table was covered in them today. Cheers, Bruce
  14. Good onya fellas, Looks like you had a right bastard of a time, all those fish interupting you drinking and socialising time. I feel bad for you guys having to put up with conditions like that while i was slaving away in the pissing down rain all week . Champion report mate! Cheers, Bruce
  15. G'day Ray, No date or any numbers stamped on it anywhere,i'm only going on what was stated by the seller on that auction site. Mate ,if you have any info on these reels,i would dig to know a bit more about 'em as i have had a look most places that i thought might provide some insight into their history. Cheers, Bruce
  16. Just saw one advertised on that auction site. If anyone was interested, it seems it may be a 1932 model B.Oldest junkpile special too date,it has cleaned up a beauty and spins like a champion,i'm half tempted to take it down to the lake tomorrow and crack a few darkies with it,should be fun. Cheers, Bruce
  17. Did the drag washers come out when you took it apart ?
  18. In my younger days, i wasn't too shabby on the soccer or cricket field. We managed to win the champions of champions one year,(does that still exsist)and got myself a century and a hat trick during my cricketing career. But these days, with so many more commitments my sporting activities are restricted to working hours,so i have to be happy competing in the Footpath 500 ct110 motor cycle racing, and i could probably represent Australia in the How to annoy a dog through the front fence with the local paper event. Cheers, Bruce
  19. When i was a kid,we had to get up 3 hours 'fore we went to bed,then...... Sorry could'nt help myself. Cheers, Bruce
  20. Thats a Hervey bay Flathead, well thats what my mate in Hervey bay calls 'em.And he should know, because thats all HE can catch when he takes me Flathead fishing up there.
  21. You sure that they were'nt Mullet. Cheers, Bruce
  22. G'day All, Hoping someone can help me with a bit of info about my latest Junkpile Special. As a postie,i have the pleasure of every Friday being junkpile day around my run,and as such occaisionaly i have a bit of a sticky in some of the more promising or unusual collections. Last Friday was such a day,and low and behold something caught my eye as i was passing a very eclectic collection of old goods.Taking time from my hectic schedule,i had a quick fossic and came up with this. Now i know it is an old Steelite sidecast reel, but thats all i know about it.Any info that you guys could provde me with would be great. Cheers, Bruce
  23. G'day Pappy 1, Having just got back from a quick visit to see my mate at the Pure Fishing warehouse,i was going to suggest that if they have'nt got what you need in their huge range of spares, then you might have to look at a new reel. But i see that everything has worked out in your favour, gotta be happy with that! Cheers, Bruce
  24. G'day Ray, Thank christ you got some tasty squiddies, when i read the heading i thought that you might have resorted to eating salted horsie fillets Cheers, Bruce
