  1. iain, the box in the middle is a 2 system setup with a live well on one side and a esky type thingo on the other... just gotta get the plumbing setup. I am still tossing up up newer engines, they are 84 johnsons, and the starboard engine is almost stuffed. Clutch, I wont be footing all the bill the only reason is, that after it is all fixed up and we have used it a few times, I may ebay or boatpoint it and then we split the cash or both joint venture into a much better blue water girl. It was picked up a year or 2 ago, at an absolute bargain price, and after looking around, with the improvements I am planning, we can easily double the price of the original sale and expences. Thanks for the contacts, and yeh spoke to a spraypainter mate today, and said its a bitch of job.. I just hate the old orange colour . Price will be a factor in this.
  2. Top Report Grant... Unluckily I am working all this weekend But might head out to F&S next weekend 17/18 to try my luck
  3. Cheers guys... keep the ideas coming (My wife isn't in the room ) Ok got some good ideas now... will keep you updated in here. Will prob stick with twin motors... and get these 2 recond... as you guys know, motors are the biggest expense... they will come last. But time will tell... whats the benefit of a single engine?

  8. Just a question... whats it take to go in these tournaments.. I mean are they open for amateurs like me?, and do you need a boat etc.. just curious as I love to fish, and love competition.. so might look into getting into a tourny one day. Oh and how do they work.. I mean I go out fishing alot and come back with nothing... does this also happen on these tournys? Cheers, Coasty

  13. Well I have never tried it.. dunno how good it will be, as dog food doesn't degrade easily, it expands into a large pale pulp... but I suppose in a berley bag or bucket this could be good ,as a slow release style. I will give it a try this weekend and see how it goes though. I might add some tuna oil too it though, for added effect. Cheers, Coasty
  14. I will be out in my brothers boat on the brissy... if I am goin alone, I will call ya ty, and you can come along if ya like.
  15. Mate that is SHIT!!!!!!!! Avoca is my hometown, and lately with the huge mullet has been a decent fishing ground... you call me if you find the @#$$#ers and I will help you tie bricks to thier ankles. And EP's in Avoca Lagoon I may need to kick Tyrone into gear for a goon session in his tinny
  16. Hey all, Since my bro has offered for me to use his old Quintrex 5 mtr Cruiseabout anytime I want (as long as he isn't) I have to pay for some maintenance on it. I am replacing all the cables for gear change (forward/neutral/reverse) and throttle cables as well. It has twin Johnson 35's on the back, and I just wanna know what kind of mission I am in for in changing these? It has a 4 control system, so 2 sticks for port and starboard gear change and 2 sticks for port and starboard throttle... cables are about 4.1 mtrs long or so.. Cheers Coasty
  17. Jewie Hunter... I am still yet to catch a jewy, but now I have a boat I can borrow at will, I will be hitting the rip bridge and brissy water more often... so might pick ya brain soon for some tips

  20. http://community.webshots.com/album/226772803AqGADb This is Frank Lowy's (The owner of Westfield) ship... first saw her in Sydney harbour, and then again in the hawkesbury near F&S... then the weather turned bad and she motored around towards Cottage Point. You can't tell from the photos, but she has a helicopter garage in her stern and a big thing that opens up on her bow... very impressive... cost $110,000,000
  21. Hey foxman , I got no idea of that area, but hope you get onto to some
  22.
