  1. A beautiful report, and some cracking wild bass mate. I wish my local river looked that good(as if). Hazza
  2. Mate hard to believe but I think the first fish is a baby "TuskFish" Sounds weird but while spearing in the harbour we have actually seen a small colony of them. And different species more commonly caught in northern waters. Hazza
  3. Best fun you can have in the water. I used to do it at the R.M.Y.C at the Hacking while cleaning the bottom of boats. There where bream everywhere plus Kingfish and all sorts off fish. I will grab a black crab from the pylons and lower it on the hand line. Never missed a fish,The kings would chase the bream all over the place. Good fun I tell ya,You guys should give it a GO. Hazza
  4. Nice catch whitto. A bloody good feed, good size also. Hazza
  5. I couldn't agree more fellas as this site has good information. There's genuine people among us,and some that are not. One thing that I am certain about is jew fisherman with reports about what they caught and where they caught them. Don't believe to much that you read about locations as reports about big Jews at certain locations are just Fibs and are caught in another waterway altogether. It's a shame but a fact. Hazza

  7. Good going mud-crabbing. There are some big muddy's in the Georges. Used to get a few big ones during X-mas. Every body must stay next to the pots or they will be gooonnne before u know it. Hazza
  8. Cameron I fish out off 189 vision regally. The floor comes standard with textured fiberglass floor which is great. My mate had a removable carpet installed with s/s button fasteners to keep it in place. You can take it out and wash it ,and your not going to lose out on resale. Hazza
  9. Spearo dude thats just not on about the3.8 . Not to say that it has not been done before. What you should be looking for as I spearfish as well and have a idea on what your after. Is second hand 4.3-4.5 old alloy boat (barehull if possible) Gut the inside asap get a alloy floor welded to create a self draining deck. Buy your self a used 60 yamaha enduro tiller or any other brand(not many Tohatsu second hand) A good second hand trailer to tow safely. The rest of the fitout can be done in time and money allowing. This set up shouldnd cost over$ 4000-5000 and it would last and be strong. Plus quite quick for comps. My opionion thats all Hazza

    Hi Speed Kote

I heard its a Teflon based coat as Teflon minimises friction. I hope its not another gimmick. Hazza
  11. Tohatsu also supplies it to new motors. I bought my engine before they took on Data Dot and they mailed it to me 2 months later. Hazza

    Stress!

Stress cracks can be repaired. You would have too cut into the crack a bit ,than mix some gelcoat and aplly to crackes wait to set ,sand and buff the whole boat to try and get the same colouration .hope this helps. Hazza

  21. Great report Leelee . you guys would have been stuffed after that session. Just a quick question is the fresh water open to the salt (no weir) As the tide statement has got me stumpt. Hazza
  22. Macman your post on darkys off Blues Point brought back many memories. 20 years ago I used to fish there with my dad for jewies every week. There was an old aussie bloke that used to fish excluservly for black fish, and when the jewies where quite I will go net his fish and talk about footy and fishing when he was waiting for a downer. The best spot at the point for B/F is after the park and the white railings till you came to a concrete block just after the white rails. behind the block there should be a set of stairs. This spot creates an eddie, and to fish it good you need to berley with some chopt up weed and wet sand to create balls to be able to throw out. Start off by fishing 2 rod lengths and try to use weed rather than cabbage. Cant wait to hear more reports on Darkys Of Blues Point. Hazza
  23. Good going Motty. How good are the TOHATSU's they will never let you down. maybe I will get my TINNY back some time also.
  24. Yes folks even a hard case like me has a soft side. It happend to me today when I handed my beloved tinny to the new owner. It still hasnt sunk in, but then I look at the empty space in the garage and cringed. There's been some great memories on that tinny. Purchased 10years ago as a bare hull that carried pro nets in it. K-fish and I tranformed it to a topender style of boat with a 25hp Tohatsu. There are going to be days that we will be talking about the good old days that we fished on the TINNY The one that comes to mind the day we put a set of outriggers on and trolled out to the Peak to catch a Marlin. You should of seen the look on Ross Hunter face when he saw us give him the nod. This tinny has taught me alot about fitouts and how good products and workmanship stand up in time. My biggest lesson I learnt, DO IT THE RIGHT WAY ONCE. The good thing is I made sure that I sold it to a mate. That way I can always see it and work on it when it needs it. No matter what we build next or how fast it goes there is only ONE "TINNY" Hazza
  25. well done Pukka nice catch of brimes there mate. Only the brave venture out on this mornings. Hazza
