  1. BM might have to try the 20lb leader next time. Pity about the river this morning, sounds like you made up for it at lunch. The koolabung cicada fizzer 35 is my preferred lure, also don't mind Smiths Bisen. Both in black. Hodge, I'm working on that score line, I'll hopefully have another go in the morning. Dean
  2. Hey BM Sounds like a great way to spend lunch. I tried the sammy65 for the first time last weekend, certainly seemed to turn the bigger fish on. Dean
  3. Managed a quick fish before work this morning. Launched the yak just before six and started casting the koolabung fizzer's into all the likley looking spots, It wasn't long before the fish showed some interest. I landed five fish in the first 20 minutes as i made my way down river. It wasn't long before my favourite snag came into sight, with two fish lost in the last couple of outings i was determined not to lose another. With a beefed up leader and tightened drag i lobbed the first cast in, gave it a few twitches, nothing. Second cast, same result - nothing. So I moved a little closer and threw a bit deeper... let it sit for a few seconds, another small twitch - SMASH! So much for the beefed up leader!!! Fish 3 - Dean 0 Things started slowing up from here, managed another five fish before heading back to the car. Final tally 10. Can't wait for the next round. Dean

    Narooma

After reading all the reports over the past few months i decided to join and have a go myself. Fished Narooma over the long weekend with my wife Brooke. We targeted mainly bream with surface lures. Not long after arriving on Saturday we had the boat in the water and headed straight for the racks. Recived plenty of intrest flicking towadi's into the shallows and along the racks but nothing connected. Decided to change Brooke's lure over to a lucky craft sammy and within in 5 minutes two of the biggest bream of the trip were in the live well, 38cm & 36cm. To say she was happy would be an understatment. Over the next few days we manage to land a few more Bream including a few in the 36cm range. Some of Narooma's racks Also manage a quick sesion in Tuross on Monday. Bream, whiting, flathead and EP's were all willing to have a go at the poppers. Lures used over the weekend included Towadi's, Sammy 65's and Smiths mebapen. Cheers, Dean
