I would also be interested. I was once advised by a rep of a large oil company that most modern, hi-tech oils contained additives and detergents that lasted no longer than 6 months wether or not the engine had consistent use or sat idle for that period of time. Not sure if it was a spiel by him to sell more oil or not, but he was saying that no matter if you only done x amount of miles or hours on the engine in that time frame, that the oil would still lose it's lubricating properties. I too would not recommend that brand spray or any others for that matter. For years I have always kept my used hooks, whether it be trebles or singles, in an air tight container generously soaking in cooking oil. Never, ever use a petroleum based or synthetic type of oil or water displacement concoction. Vegetable oil, even "Reef" tanning oil would be preferred. Change them and the rings for new and dip them in cooking oil before storage. Cheers Mariner

It might pay you to check with the Department of Transport as to the requirements you need to meet if selling. One would think that you would have to hand back in the plates and sell it as an unregistered wreck. Otherwise you would need a pink slip for the sale. Hope nobody was injured. Cheers Mariner

What more could you ever want for? A great feed of fish, A great day fighting all the fish you hooked, Sitting back listenening to the rain - I think I am sleeping - LOL The mystery starfish? Sounds like a great day and a wild experience. Don't know about the starfish though, we have plenty here although the ones I've seen don't have very long fingers like that one. Can confirm that Roberta. have been watching all afternoon. Some of those rigs are crazy, must be topping 50-75 knots. I will re-iterate what the commentators have been saying. This is probably the only sport where gender has no bearing on the outcome. "The fish don't know that it is a female on the other end of the rod". 6lbs against 30+ lbs just doesn't wash with me. Credit to her that she topped the all female list in the womens competition, but these guys are like lions. Some of these guys are just damned crazy. Kelly, I think his name is, has just completed a triple heart bypass operation and I am pretty certain that he made the final cut of 25 anglers for the final day. Have not seen one angler from the 51 competing tolling a lure. Some are catching Bass in 12 inches of water. Something to do with the love bug. That the shallower water warms up much quicker obviously, than the deeper water.
