  1. Congrats once again on the pb. Nice meeting you today and hopefully catch up again down there soon.
  2. Nice looking feed there mate. Cant complain about that.
  3. Thanks for the kind comments. Hoping to get out a for a few more end of season snapper trips over the next few weeks. Hopefully will produce a few more photo worthy fish. Fingers crossed.
  4. Thanks mate. Thanks Tony. Like anything, if you put in the time you get results. Definately mate! I'm ready for some kingy action. Thanks scratchie. Yours was a solid fish also. Any snapper over 60 is a good fish in my books. Thanks mate. They do thin out a little in the warmer months but always worth a go. She's in! Don't forget to vote. Hey mate, I couldn't just let you get all the trophies. Yep hoodie time I think. Thanks mate. The smaller ones do taste better that's for sure.
  5. Hi all, Ive been a little slack with my posts of late. Time is limited these days due to an energetic toddler in the house. Have enjoyed a good season on the snapper with good numbers and a consistent run of fish from 60-70cm. With the warmer water approaching and thoughts of moving on to other species I headed out of port kembla harbour on saturday arvo for sunset run…..and I'm glad i did. After scoring 6 early in the piece we headed a little wider to the 40m mark and got nailed by a better fish that took off like a train. After a short arm wrestle a nice 76cm snapper came aboard. Maybe a fitting way to end the season…... Here are some of the better fish from November The 76cm red...
  6. Great unit for the money and perfect for the harbour and close off shore trips. Pretty easy to use also. Have had one for a few years now and am pretty happy with it.
  7. I bought a boat from a guy once who told me that Sydney harbour was so bloody deep that the sounder could never get bottom. Upon closer inspection I found he had the transducer on upside down. Maybe worth double checking.
  8. Top Fish mate!! Well deserved!! You've definately been putting in the hours and consistently coming up with some solid reds. Many people don't realise the time you have to put in to achieve an 80+ red and how many times you come close but just fall a couple cm short. You got the 80+cm you wanted before the season ended. So what's next mate 90+? Would love to see it.! Congrats once again! Solid effort!! Ps. Top form back at the ramp too.
  9. Was hoping it would hold off so i could head down after work. I hooked the boat up then 480 rang me and told me not to bother as the wind was at at about 20knts down there. So i swapped the snapper gear for the bream gear and hit the river instead. Wasnt too bad in the end as i caught plenty of bream and whiting for a feed for the family.
  10. Quality reds mate!! Top stuff!!
  11. Good work mate! I'm spewing the wind picked up at lunchtime otherwise I would have come down. Ended up with a nice bag of bream and whiting in the end but unfortunately it didn't make me feel any better.
  12. 8 jews ! Cant complain about that ! Solid session mate , good stuff.
  13. Good job mate, especially for such a short session. Was spewing i couldn't get out yesterday.
  14. Hey, Nice bag mate. Looks like we've got another one with the snapper bug. They can be very frustrating at times but its days like that that make it all worth it.
  15. Good effort mate!! Nice to get a feed of flathead after a decent session on the reds. Was wondering when we were going to see another piratin report. Pete
  16. Hey Johno,Time to get out and catch some fish......... Now that your knob oven is finished.....
  17. Snapper king lol. Thanks for the compliment Tony but there are some gun snapper fishos out there that make me look more like the joker. Great fish and definately well deserved as you have put in the time and effort. Pete.
  18. Have got a couple of good ones on fresh squid.
  19. Solid reds Mike! Funny though...... I never seem to get a bite on fresh cuttlefish either. Pete
  20. Didn't get down there this weekend due to the wind but fished the river instead and ended up with 16 keepers. 10 solid whiting and 6 bream.
  21. Good effort for hanging in there and coming up with the goods in the end boys. Well done!
  22. See it doesn't matter that you have no friends with a haul like that. Good effort!
