A few days later used it again and it stopped rattling, and it had cracked in the back third and the bearings had rusted I think its just the way some of them are made, crappy fabrication in china But you can still buy two zappas for a sammy Harry

  6. Hey Raiders, I was just thinking bout buying a new bream reel, but then i thought i needed an all purpose combo more than a new reel . So you tackle junkies out there what would you take around Australia? And also what would be the most versatile? Cheers Hazza
  7. Nice fish Well done for putting a newbie onto his first topwater fish, not long till hell be hooked In the picture it looks as though you have a black loop attaching your line to the lure? How do you attach them to your leader? Harry
  8. I feel your pain, I spun the ledges at hat head and SWR the whole of last week and didnt get anything and only saw one tailor caught My brother who dives said there were heaps of yakkas around and the vis has been very bad lately so my only guess is that the warm currents that are coming through up there that are bringing the tuna is dirty but its usually the other way around The week before that i bagged out on frigates and bonito at terrigal and avalon Harry
  9. I bet the jewies are scared when you come out you sure know where and when to get them
  10. Its a two piece and its an unbleivable rod, i preffered it over the live fibre and the heartland which are both around 300 mark and the silstar is around 150-200 depends where you get it from. It can also handle alot of knocks and bumps becasue its full fibreglass. Dont be put off by the weight rating as i was throwing 30gm metals and they went flying.. Harry
  11. I just recently purchased a crystal blue 8-12kg I got it in the 10 foot becasue im only 15 so 12 foots abit long for me Its perfectly balanced with my 4500h saltist and 20lb braid Good luck shopping

  14. I would recomend a daiwa saltist 4500, Will hold around 350m of 30lb braid 6.2:1 retreive ratio Full metal body so can take some abuse Great little reel that should come in around 340-400 with braid Harry
  15. Grab some squidgy 85mm wrigglers in blood worm on a 1/12th hook and your in business for bream, flatty, whiting and so forth
