  1. Watch out Jim , Pete and Tony will be looking for all your hot spots , P.S if pete wins the pirtek challenge he owes you an i half , only caught the big whiting due to fishing that part of the bay after reading your report and and me calling him over . ( go Pete and good luck )
  2. Got an email requsting more photos , so that is a good sign for our family , cant wait till the 17th
  3. YES PETE , its hard to catch fish when YOUR offsider kept tangling his lines with mine ( good plan ) but next time anchor on the fun sherriff"s side of the boat . Any way the fingers are crossed for you and my boys , good luck
  4. Mate got to the second spot where we got 40 fish around 2pm after a swim on the beach . We couldnt keep a bait in the water for a solid 3 hrs , my 5 year old couldnt keep the bait up to us .
  5. Hit the bay yesterday for the big comp and fished for whiting the first 5 hrs before trolling for tailor for the next 3 hrs .Got a few whiting around the 40 mark but wasnt happy with them as i know that there are bigger ones around . The tailor wernt there and we didnt even get a hit , Should have went for them first caz i finally found the whiting at 2pm .Managed a 42 and my 5 and 7 year olds got 41 and 39 . Called over another raider and he was kind enough to get a 46 and 45 whiting in front of me , ( do i hear a shout ) We left around 5 as the boys started to get tired . It was a great day out .Here is a few of the fish without the bigger whiting as they were all released due to the pirtek rules
  6. WEN the fish are all through the bay , dont burly and you must have a 1.5 metre trace to stop the little fish hitting your baits
  7. Hit the bay with the family ,40 bream annoyed me till we found the whiting , got 7 over 40cm and called in another raider who then had the hide to get a 46 and a 45 in front of me , oh well thats team fishing .My 7 and 5 year olds have 41 cm whiting and 39 cm whiting so the fingers are crossed .
  8. Thats an elbow slapper , would have won 10 grand in the pirtek challange last year
  9. THATS WHAT WE CALL AN ELBOW SLAPPER
  10. Should have fish the bank near the airport for tailor , they are everywhere at the moment .
  11. Nice bag of fish you got there Leigh , couldnt get any mullet or you didnt have time to fish for them ?
  12. Lures ha , thats hard work , all on bait in 3 different spots
  13. Had a early finish at work yesterday and rang the wife and she suggest we hit the harbour for a fish . I suggest the bay so the boys get to see the airport but she tell me about the last few reports from the bay and that theres no fish . Heads or tails is the call and were off to the bay ( harbour will have to wait ) . We got there about 3 and headed over to towra for a refreshing swim . We then started fishing and the 2 boys were very excited to be using their new fishing rods they got for chrissie .3rd fish in and my little 5 yr old is into a good bream with the drag screaming . In comes his biggest fish ever , a bream just over a kg . We got 1 good elbow slapper at 44cm with 10 smaller ones , 3 trevally and 35 bream , but we only kept a few . By 830 it was time to pull the pin , the bay was on fire

  19. The misses and the kids have booked me in allready
  20. Strip of squid mate , get them there every year when fishing for the bream. Last year 67cm but this year too small
  21. He has tried them all , just needs to harden up a bit . Well done , must be the teacher.
  22. All the fish were from swansea near newcastle ,
  23. We have now dropped off the girls at gladesville and it time for a quick nanny nap till we head outside for a few flatties . The newly crowned brother in law has also joined the party ( ALLOWED to fish after only being married 3 weeks ) . We headed out at around 6 and hit a few spots that gave us donuts so i dicided to head out to the 70 metre marks and give it a shot . On the way we saw 4 dolphins ( brother in law just paided $ 80 each to see them ) MONEY PLEASE . Hit the mark and we had 2 double headeders on at once with 1 going 2.4 kg . This went on for the next hr and we got 8 over 2kg . What a great day we were having . We pulled the pin at 8.30 as we had enough fish to keep them happy .
  24. Headed into the harbour with my relo from the bush to see the works and have a bream fish whilst we waited . First stop was to get him a fishing licence and then we got the last parking spot at gladsville. Went straight to the cnr near the bridge and within 10 minutes he is on to a kingfish on my 3kg baitrunner and nibble tip rod . After just missing a few river cats we net the king and he is just under size at 63 cm . The relo cant beleive his face when i return it to the water . Its the biggest fish he has ever caught an i just threw it back but rules are rules i tell him . We then caught a few bream and 2 snapper at 32 cm so he was happy . Now he has to wait till the morning for a few flatties . Happy new year everyone.
