nice haul of flatiies ive never seen so many boats at the peak before, at 7 in the morning we counted 32 boats of which half would have been jigging...ridiculous...imagine what the fad is gong to b like this summer!!

you'd hope that they dragged it backwards long enough to drown well and truly before bringing it on the boat imagine that thing alive on your deck

Purchased this months article of Fishing World (OCT)...there is a fantastic article on jigging for kings in sydney....Am trying to source the location of it lol...Does neone who has purchased it know it?

hey m8 sounds like u had a great trip...wat was the biggest kingy u got over there?....im goin over to NZ for a 2week fishing trip in january mainly jigging for kings around the bay of plenty area.....was the kinging jigging action consistent? ( one fish after the other or was it one fish every now and then)....cant wait to go over!

thanx for the information m8...greatly appreciated!!! ......i have done quite a bit of jigging mainly off tweed heads.....however have nver really done that much off sydney...have tried the peak a few times and have never really found ne good readings on my sounder...nothing like urs!....will give it anoher go off syd this week may try syd harbour round northerner etc...hopefully get some cheers alex

sounds like u guys did pretty well on the kings for size ....we went out jigging on saturday around the reefs off coogee wide and could only manage 60-65cm fish, mind u we caught 34 of the little buggers but they become a pest when u are after bigger fish....did u guys head of syd harbour?

being a keen jigger myself i think that would be a great idea...................ive been out to the peak and surrounds jigging for no results with no good readings on the sounder twice in the last week.....congrats on the nice king!!!! ....care to share those reef marks with me lol? or u can jus give me a general dea of where u r fshing! lol cheers alex

Was jus rerigging my jig outfits 4 a session 2moz and am jus curious if neone has ne idea of the drag capability of a spheros 14000 with the complete stella upgrade kit (drag washers, bearings, handle)????....according to the shimano reel catalogue it has a max drag of 25pds (11kg)...thats without the kit.....so with the kit am thinking 30pd (15kg) possibly????....i usually have the drag setting on this outfit at 10kg and have not had ne dramas

Has anyone done any deep water jigging of late...some decent reports have come in out near the peak and surrounds! mite be worth a go?! alex

sounds like a decent day fishing there mate...u go to the FAD21km off port?.....what was the water temp there? cheers alex
