righto do you know when they are going to drop sydney and surrounding areas?
i heard bruce talking about it on saturday morning must have mis understood
-
a 14kg was taken from browns a few weeks ago.
i think the fads have now been dropped. so not much longer to wait now.
don t think you would find em in any great numbers down here at the moment

Mark,
on the light gear, 4-12lb, braid i usually set it with somebody else pulling line off, when the rod has a good load in it and the tension feels right. otherwise i'll just pull line off the spool until it feels 'about right'... i'll go lower and increase the tension during a fight if am not making any ground...
with the heavy reels of 20-50lb braid i'll usually set it as tight as the setup will allow, or as tight as i can hold on to, usually 50% of the breaking strain of the braid, the 80lb braid gets a locked drag for jigging.
Mono game reel gets 1/3 breaking strain, measured before every session on scales.
i second to that
just dont touch the drag during the fight unless i am really getting hammered
-
just hose em down.
soke them in a bucket of water
then service the internals a day or two after.
-
mate im pretty sure if you look hard enough you will find em there.
they are extremely hard to entice and even harder to bring up.
if you have a look at the lure fishing records wackos 97cm kingy was caught in cowan and his mate pete with the spotted mackeral on the same day.
im pretty sure they were taken on fly.
good luck mate they are there if your patient you will find mostly bigger ones down there so be prepared.
dont know where those rats are that your talking bout fletch they are extremely hardd to catch in cowan there in pittwater
-
get us some squid for the social. keep any decent fresh baits to eg slimies, pike, yakkas and dont forget the squid.

They look like a jewfish!
look very similar to a jew.
that might explain where they go in the winter

There are heaps heaps better spots at long reef than the wrecks. Pretty sure it is the old dee why ferry and possibly another ship or two down there. There are fish on it, but there are better areas IMO.
dan and greg weren t looking for the best spot at long reef they were asking where the wrecks were.
most probably easier to access in a trailer boat than the wider parts of the reef

it caught my attention also, i'd like to know what he means, i'll be informing everyone as to how the telephone conversation goes!
he should have organised that type of trip in the first place.
as thats what you are paying for

st george were once again outgunned outplayed and once again it was in a prelim final.
what an awesome feeling to seeing those chokers wipe there tears once again.
att: all saints supporters

not interested in two games of football where to teams don t originate from the state of origin.
no sydney teams in the nrl
no melbourne teams in the gayfl.
would rather be fishing anyday.
i fished grandfinal day last year before the tigers game. what a day it was too
-
[why is that because ive got the biggest fish on your boat to date
]
James you only caught the fish because of the skill and expertise of the Captain, his seacraft and his gear and his ability to keep all gear and crew IN THE BOAT
Perhaps you should take up a new sport, like scuba diving!!
not bad not bad.
but if my memory serves me correct and correct me if im wrong im pretty sure jacko and myself made the executive decision to head back to browns. what a great decision too
you heading out tomorrow?
what about this weekend

Those marks are in Aus 66 Datum, they will need to be converted in order for them to put you in the right spot.
If you dont convert them you will be 250 metres approx of the wreck
would you be able to convert it netic im unable to do it.
-
good stuff on the squid mate.
i reckon you should slab the salmon up for jews as well.
-
yeah i reckon don t go anthony.
i wont be able to make it.
-
yeah mate its top stuff and mixing em up with a couple of livies always puts you in with a good chance.
