Hey guys, Caught this on the weekend in the Lane Cove River. I've hooked the same type of fish before and neva knew what they were, so i took a photo this time and hopefully someone can help id it.

saw it on tv, it was indeed packed out. from what i saw on the news i reckon people would have been able to walk across the habour by stepping off all the boats.

Hi guys, Just wondering when you are live baiting yakas and get the bite do you get the hooked up? I've been baiting yakkas by placing the hook thru the flesh directly behind the head region and have found that I'm not hooking up to the fish that eats the yakkas. I have only caught the fish as a result of them swallowing the yakkas so deep that it's in their guts. Is that the right technic or am i doing something wrong.

I've seen flatties chasing yellowtail in about 2meters of water fishing from a wharf in the harbour.

Great action from the sounds of it. I think I know which charter u went on by the color and the build of the boat. They r a good charter with experienced guides. I went out in their boat earlier in the year and really enjoyed it too.

we experience something similar with a fishing charter off terrigal on the weekend. i hooked about 10 of them as they just kept going for the bait. in the end i just gave up putting out any more bait.

Hi all, I started working for a bank in Sydney around a year ago. And guess what this bank is the only one that doesnt give their employees a day off for bank holiday. That's why I'm a bit frustrated. It's such a nice day outsiude too could have been fishing.

Thamks for the feedback guys. Looks like the Nokia N 95 is the way to go for me. I do like my music on the way to and from work and often take photos, so a phone with all the gadgets will be very good. The only downside i can see so far is the price, it's almost double your average phone.
