i usaully have a 10% braking strain allowance when it comes to braid top shots if it was me with the 15lb braid have have 17 to 20lb mono backing just in case the mono snaps when you have a descent fish on and shes getting past your braid top shot as for your 30lb braid add 10% to the mono braking strain as well thats what i do hope it helps mike

what a feed of flatties i love flatte fillets your effort definitely paid off

your jig is supposed to get get in thier strike zone ie.like brushing along weed beeds or getting close enough for them to attack your jig in rocky area where squid are them again tossing out your jig and waiting 20 seconds then starting your retrieve can work out well also it depends on your jigs sink rate and the depth of the water in the area you are squiding
