warnie
Hi Raiders Managed to get out recently to try for some y/fin tuna off sydney "Ungry" departed early morning and was greeted to a kind ocean despite the weather report... we trolled an area affectionatly refered to as the kink.... we had an avid reader of fish raider on board who has never caught a y/fin before and am happy to say whilst not in the class of that magnificent 80kg caught recently and only weighing sub 20kg they were of no less of a milestone to him.............. he was beaming from ear to ear..... Hoping to go back out on the next good weather window and I am sure he will be eagerly awaiting to try again. Cheers Warnie Edited July 16, 2007 by johnno

Steve07
Thats funny, from the boys that i no that were at browns today said that heaps of boats out there, and up until 4pm no one had turned a reel, and no reports over the radio that anyone was gettin any either. but i guess of all the stack of cube trails going over the side a couple must have eventually been caught.Bet all that berley in close off kurnell would have seen a heap of good reds taken today! cheers, steve

netic
Warnie, I see your running a witchdoctor as well when your trolling for YFT. I now use one to raise marlin but got told they not the best for YFT...how have you found it, obviously yesterdays fish did well but how was it previously
warnie
Netic I guess each to there own.....we actually run two can't fault them..... they certainaly don't scare em away we then put what we call a Qantas bibless..... 3 mtrs behind each one this method account's for a lot of y/fin for us but everyone is differant incidently we lost 3 last season to marlin pinching them and would highly reccomend them........though costly if that keeps happening Cheers Warnie
