Beach Fish

Hi Raiders,

First Report. Caught this actually last week but lost the cord for the camera. Any way got this one off whale beach on Pilchards. Actually got 4 of them but this was the biggest (70cm). Let the rest go and made a curry out of this one. I also smoke salmon as well.

Did you try tossing any metals at them as well or just bait fishing?

I reckon they are a great sports fish and I am getting annoyed at all the negative publicity they are getting recently.

Great fish AndyMac. I tried spinning for Sambos of Mona yesterday but no luck; Might be time to try Whale by the looks of your catch.

ps. I like smoking salmon too but i find them hard to roll.
