Is it worth fishing

Hi Fishos

Thinking of hitting the beach this Sunday morning (20/11/16) but I have a few concerns and would like everyone's opinions

Here are a few facts

Sunrise: 5.40am

Low tide: 7.20am

Wind: SSE 6knots

Swell: 1.1m

Solunar activity: high (tides4fishing.com)

Best time to fish: 5.40am-7.40am (tides4fishing.com) (time I'm planning on fishing)

I'd be on the beach targeting salmon/tailor with pillies

Knowing all this, would you guys go out or save it for another day?

Appreciate the response

Hi, I can't see a problem with those stats. The only time u can't fish the beach is when it's running real hard and you can't hold the bottom. Personally I've had more success fishing dusk and dark rather than dawn, but I've also caught salmon and tailor in the middle of the day too. I tend to focus on time of day rather than tide. Find a nice gutter and you're half way there.

Run out tide concentrates the bait and predators together in the deeper gutters- its worth fishing through the start of the runup as fish like whiting and bream race to get up on the flats . Best tide on the beach in my opinion

take beer and cooked prawns, although as you

are going in the morning, you might want a coffee and a bacon roll

You can use the prawns for bait and if you don't catch anything, you can eat them

and drink your beer!

A rubbish day fishing is still a good day.

Good luck!
