rickmarlin62 Posted October 11, 2020 Share Posted October 11, 2020 I fished the local rocks for a couple of hrs yday on the rising tide middle of day bagged out in 2hrs 2 double headers made it interesting washing em up all caught on cabbage surprisingly all fish had milt or roe in them the luderick are still around in good numbers i broke two fish off and pulled the hook on a few but plenty there no fotos this time round left fone in car then iced after cleaning till weighin this arvo tight lines everyone 11 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

61 crusher Posted October 11, 2020 Share Posted October 11, 2020 There’s plenty around at the moment & as you said roed & milt, what poundage leader & hook size are you using as there’s been some big ones amongst them last weekend watched a couple of locals at it & one of the guys let me use his setup while cleaning the catch I managed 3 at 36 38 & a 44, haven’t targeted them since a young block, ended up buying myself a 10ft6 Wilson blackfish rod today interesting that your using a two hook setup off the stones Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I remember as a kid fishing in Lake Illawarra near the entrance, the blackfish would head in, ready for breeding, and they would only take squirt worms, not weed at this time of year.
