Hi @Scratchie my guess would be "Common Jack Mackerel" Trachurus declivis 

Not possible to see but they have a different dorsal fin and they are more Cylindrical like that one seems to be.

Have caught them before in Port Hacking, not many, but over many years pulled up the occasional few.

There are yakka scutes from the tail, not as big or as sharp, and they do not extend as far as those on a yakka.

Not the brown back colour of a yakka, but more of a green colour of a slimie.

Whatever they are, they make great fillet baits.
